Up and coming Wexford businesses are being urged to enter the 2015 Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards.

The awards are among Ireland's longest running award schemes for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and over the years have recognised and supported many now high-profile business and entrepreneurs. Open to SMEs across all sectors throughout the island of Ireland, you can apply online using the dedicated website: www.BusinessAchieversAward.com.

Awards alumni in Leinster includes businesses from all sectors, including Paul Brophy Produce, who attended the 2015 Leinster launch, in addition to PM Group, Saba Restaurant, Rosso Solini, Millmount Healthcare and Pieta House. The eight categories are:

1. Woman Led Business Award; 2. Best Business Start Up Award; 3. Small Business Award; 4. Established SME Award; 5. Food and Drink Award; 6. Social Enterprise Award; 7. International Business Award; 8. Agri-Business Award.

Following an initial judging process at the preliminary stage, competing businesses will be shortlisted for provincial awards. Provincial award-winners will then go on to compete in their respective categories at an all-island awards ceremony in December 2015, where one category winner will also be crowned overall 'Ulster Bank Business Achiever 2015'.

The overall winner will receive a comprehensive prize package including a €50,000 publishing bursary with the Irish Independent, business mentoring from Enterprise Ireland, a full-service communications workshop, as well as national and regional media exposure.

Run in association with the Irish Independent, Enterprise Ireland, InterTradeIreland and SmallBusinessCan.com, the awards are now open for entry at BusinessAchieversAward.com.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 25.
