Daybreak in Camolin in Wexford has won the 'Best Impulse' category at the annual Daybreak Store of the Year Awards.

The awards which took place recently at the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny recognise retail excellence across Daybreak stores nationwide.

Throughout the competition a series of mystery shopper audits are conducted on store standards and stores are assessed against the relevant judging criteria.

Located on Main St, Camolin, the store is owned by Conor and Cathy Carton and employs 21 people. Daybreak Camolin is no stranger to success having won the 'Best Confectionery' category at last year's awards.

Cathy Carton from Daybreak Camolin said: 'We are delighted to have picked up the best impulse category award. At our store we aim to provide our customers with a wide range of products to choose from so it's great to be recognised in this way. This award is testament to all the hard work that our team put in throughout the year as it's always a huge team effort at our store. I would also like to sincerely thank our loyal customers who continue to support us.'

At its annual awards, Daybreak also announced that it will partner with the Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) in 2016.
