WEXFORD's YellowBelly brewery has been winning over craft beer lovers across the country thanks to its quality beverages and a novel marketing campaign, featuring humorous videos and Wexfordian comic book sketches.

Situated on South Main Street, Simon Lambert & Sons Pub & Brewery is owned by 'brews brothers' Nicky and Simon Lambert. The pub, which has been part of the Wexford pub scene for 50 years this year, has seen steady business over its lifetime, however, the brothers felt it was time for something new.

'Pubs were closing all around us.' says director Nicky Lambert. 'Simon and myself agreed that it was time to do something new. In 2008 we started stocking craft beers from around the world. In 2009, Simon and myself undertook a brewing course in Manchester and when we arrived home, we decided to build a brewery on site here at Simon Lambert & Sons.'

The brothers, along with local tradesmen, researched, designed and built the brewery from scratch beneath their pub and. With the brewery complete, Simon Lambert & Sons hired Head Brewer, Declan Nixon and local brewer Danny Trappe, to create unique, fresh and flavorsome beers in small 500 litre batches which come in the form of moreish ales, lagers and stouts.
