Bunclody is working to stimulate growth
Bunclody is going all out to create jobs, fill vacant spaces and stimulate growth.
The Bunclody sub-committee of the Enniscorthy and District Chamber recently launched its new rates initiative in the Millrace Hotel, Bunclody.
Special rates have been agreed with the council to attract new investment and new business into the town of Bunclody. This incentive will encourage new retailers and other businesses to the town and hopefully fill the vacant units, create jobs and increase business levels.
District Manager Padraig O'Gorman explained the rates initiative in detail, saying that it was a refund on investment of up to 75 per cent for year one, 50 per cent for year two and 25 per cent for year three to the Bunclody Business Community attending the launch in the Millrace Hotel. The launch was hosted as part of the Bunclody Sub Committee of Enniscorthy & District Chamber of Commerce hosted by President Bennett and Barbara-Anne Murphy of Enniscorthy Municipal District.
Cllr. Barbara Anne Murphy described the initiative as 'a very exciting and positive move for town of Bunclody which is very much welcomed and needed'.
'There is an anticipation of growth for the town in attracting businesses, creating employment, working together on projects, increased tourism and other opportunities for the town,' she said.
The Bunclody Tourism marketing initiative, as part of Bunclody Five-Year Plan, is well under way, to attract new visitors to the area with a new website www.visitbunclody.ie and social media campaign, highlighting everything to do in the town and surrounding areas. The website was funded by local businesses, developed by Graphedia in conjunction with Jean O'Connell of O'Connell Marketing, Sales & Communications and Wexford Tourism & Hospitality Students from Barrow Training.
