Wexford Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Irish Franchise Association, will host the South East Franchise Showcase at the Talbot Hotel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday (June 16).

In what it bills as a unique event, the chamber says it will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet with 10 franchise companies who are looking to bring their proven business models to County Wexford. President of Wexford Chamber of Commerce Karl Fitzpatrick recognises the positive impact which new franchised business concepts would have on the local economy.

'The proven business model which defines all franchises means that many of the risks associated with starting a new company are significantly reduced, thus ensuring that franchise owners can lay the foundations for sustainable business growth and ultimately occupy vacant commercial premises and create more jobs across County Wexford,' he said. The 10 companies that will be exhibiting at the event operate across a diverse spectrum of sectors and they are actively looking for the right franchisee to bring their product or service to the Model County.

CEO of Wexford Chamber of Commerce, Madeleine Quirke said the franchise industry is booming and is now ripe with opportunities for both first time business owners, and established entrepreneurs who are looking to expand their portfolios. With support from Wexford County Council, Wexford Chamber is eager to facilitate introductions to the 10 established franchise business models which it hopes will be the first step for the creation of new successful businesses in Wexford.
