Three Wexford-based organisations; Hentech Fabrication, Arc Engineering and Manufacturing Services and Carlow Concrete Tanks were among 38 organisations who recently received certification to world class standards from NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland) and joined organisations from the public, private and SME sectors for a special ceremony to mark their achievements at an event in Santry, Dublin.

Hentech Fabrication Ltd and Arc Engineering Ltd were awarded certification to Conformity of the Factory Production Control (EN 1090), which is a required standard for structural steel products and services.

Bunclody-based Carlow Concrete Tanks were certified to Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), which sets out the essential requirements for a practical and effective quality management system (QMS) which is, in essence, a system for minimising risk and maximising opportunity.

Repak and Imperial Tobacco, became the first companies in Ireland to achieve certification in the two new international business standards, Quality Management (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), which are used by almost 1.5 million companies worldwide.
