Sinnott's Centra supermarket in the Irishtown, New Ross is the most recent shop to be awarded the status of Official Supporter of the Wexford Food Family in recognition of their support for Wexford food producers in the food retail industry.

Neil Murphy, chair of the Wexford Food Family, commented: 'We are delighted to give recognition to Sinnotts Centra. Martin Sinnott and his team go to enormous efforts to support Wexford food producers. We want to say a huge thank you to Martin and Sinnotts Centra on behalf of all the families that they are helping to support.'

In order to achieve the status of Official Supporter of the Wexford Food Family, each business must be nominated by a minimum of six members of the Wexford Food Family (Wexford Food Producers Network).

All recipients are given a framed certificate and have the facility to use the Official Supporter of the Wexford Food Family logo on their marketing material for the year. It is hoped that this will help to communicate their passion for local foods to their customers and be of benefit to their businesses.
