Tucr co-founder for Gorey Chamber talk
A talk will be given at Gorey Chamber of Commerce at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, by the co-founder of Tucr.io, Justin Kearns.
Tucr.io aims to help small businesses improve their online retailing presence and several businesses in Gorey have already signed up to this 'Bricks and Clicks' model.
Tucr.io is an Irish start-up that allows shoppers to pay a deposit on an item or service, and receive an online receipt.
The shopper can then pay off at their own convenience online, or in store as usual.
A local business owner using Tucr described it as 'the way forward for small businesses, giving us an easier and cheaper alternative to selling online. When I come in, in the morning, open my email and I see someone paid off through the Tucr over night, that's brilliant, it's a great start to your day'. Customers who have used Tucr call it 'very handy' and 'invaluable', as it provides a way to shop local while juggling a busy schedule.
Tucr co-founder Justin Kearns is looking forward to his talk in Gorey. 'We are delighted to see so many retailers and service providers in Gorey recognising what Tucr can do for their business,' he said. 'The interest we have seen, from shop owners to the Chamber of Commerce, has been fantastic. I'm looking forward to bringing more retailers and service providers on board, and I would urge anyone who is interested to attend the event at the Chamber of Commerce on April 11 to find out what Tucr can do for you. Our number one mission in Tucr is always to give the best possible customer service to all our participating retailers, and we provide a tailored service to ensure we achieve this goal.'
