There was great excitement in Seafield Golf and Spa Hotel on Tuesday last when the retail award was presented in the AIB North Wexford Business Awards.

This quarter the awards focussed on retail businesses in the North Wexford area and all businesses across the region were asked to nominate a business they felt deserved the title and also to give the reasons behind their nomination.

In the end there were a total of six businesses nominated including: Clever Clogz, Dee's Lingerie, House of S.O.S, Pettitt's Supervalu, Place Boutique and Wade's Totalhealth Pharmacy.

After a closely fought contest the winner was Wade's Totalhealth Pharmacy.

Speaking after receiving the award Michael Wade said he couldn't believe it when his pharmacy was named as the winner. He thanked everyone for their support and also thanked all the businesses who had nominated the pharmacy for the award.

Michael was presented with a Fred O'Mahony turned wooden bowl which was sourced from Market House Design which he was delighted with.

Dick White of Gorey Chamber congratulated Michael and paid special tribute to AIB Gorey and the Gaslamp Gallery for its sponsorship.
