Wexford company upgrading IT for Whitfield Clinic

Whitfield Clinic has committed to an investment of approximately €250,000 in its IT infrastructure over the next three years, in partnership with award winning Wexford I.T. and telecoms specialists, Innovate.

Waterford-based Whitfield, which provides elective surgery in most major specialities, as well as diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy. By partnering with UPMC, it is is also able to deliver cancer care. In order to improve the patient and visitor experience Whitfield said it had completely upgraded its Wi-Fi through-out the hospital. After analysis of several IT providers Whitfield chose Innovate of Wexford to be its technology partner for the medium term. This will allow Whitfield to work in partnership on upgrading and improving the Whitfield IT infrastructure and continue to meet its commitment to high quality, patient centred care. Jim Hughes, CEO of Innovate, said tailoring of the network and solution to the specific IT systems within the hospital environment means disruption is completely minimised.'
