the County Council has launched a 'Foreign Direct Investment Toolkit' to assist in further attracting new companies to set up business in Wexford as part of the 'Wexford Means Business' 2016 strategy.

The Economic Development Department of Wexford County Council has created a series of economic prospectus documents specifically targeted at the Life Sciences and Financial Services sectors; a 100-page glossy magazine featuring Wexford as a great place to live, work and do business and a six- minute video showcasing the county with testimonials from Senior Management of global brands located in Wexford.

Chairman of Wexford County Council, Cllr Tony Dempsey last week launched the FDI Toolkit at an event hosted by Chief Executive of Wexford County Council Tom Enright at Johnstown Castle

'We have more ambition for our county - to encourage more business and more employment. Wexford County Council will strive to ensure we play our part in this area,' said Cllr Dempsey.

Scott Vance, Project Manager with United Chemical Technologies, the newest multinational company establishing in Wexford, said:

'There are always a variety of issues that companies consider when choosing to expand operations overseas. Wexford for UCT offered the right mix of location, available skills, property solutions and quality of life that is so important for employees and long-term growth in an area.'

Mr Enright said FDI is an important growth area.
