Nicholas Hynes, Liam Mellows Park, Wexford passed away on April 20 at Wexford General Hospital aged 78.
Known as Nickey, he was the beloved husband of Rufina for 50 years. He was the loving dad to Dermot, Nicola and Philip. He adored his grandchildren Stephen, Lorna, Sean, Kieva, Tomás, Faye, Sadbbh and Deirbhile. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Mona, Renny and Angela; his son-in-law John and daughters-in-law Siobhan and Deirdre; extended family, neighbours and friends.
Nickey loved gardening and loved to sit in the garden with a cup of tea and chat to the neighbours as they went by. He also loved fishing and to speak about his time spent as a Peacekeeper with the Irish Army in the Congo which he was very proud of.
His funeral mass took place at the Church of the Annunciation, Clonard followed by burial at St Ibar's Cemetery, Crosstown.
May he rest in peace.
