Rosslare Harbour lady Bernie Wickham sadly passed away, aged 71, on March 28.
Originally from Co Meath, Bernie was the daughter of the late Jack and Mary-Jane Peppard, and sister of the late Frances, Eileen and Carmel.
Bernie entered into the hospitality industry which took her to Dublin, Adare, Kerry, Switzerland and London before settling in Rosslare Harbour, where she found love and raised her family.
Bernie made many friends through her fundraising for the RNLI and was a committee member of the Rosslare Harbour senior citizen's organisation. Bernie loved sitting on the bank watching the boats coming and going with her family, friends and neighbours.
She avidly followed Meath football and entered into a lot of friendly banter with former colleagues of the Great Southern Hotel. Bernie immensely enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren, and bore her illnesses with great dignity and courage.
Bernie is very greatly missed by her beloved husband Matt, her loving daughters Margaret, Eileen and Gillian, her sons in law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Bernie's family are very touched by the wealth of support they received from family, friends and neighbours during this difficult time.
