Well known Wexford printer Tom O'Grady dies aged 72

THE sad death has taken place of well-known Wexford printer Tom (Thomas) O'Grady, from Mountain View, Kilcorral, Castlebridge and formerly of Parnell Street and Lower John Street.

A master printer all his life, Tom, who was 72, retired from Impression Print, where he had worked for many years, last August.

He was a former employee of People Newspapers and the Print Shop.

'Tommy was valued member of staff for many years at Impression Print. He was well known for his meticulous work and in all he did.

'He retired only last August and will be sadly missed,' said Cllr George Lawlor, who owns Impression Print.

Tom was the son of Thomas and Bridie O'Grady from 11, Parnell Street.

He is the beloved husband of Helen, father of Michael and grandfather of Jordan and Ethan, and is sadly missed by his loving wife, son, grandchildren, brother Liam, sister Anne Harpur, daughter in law Caitriona, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Tommy's funeral mass was due to take place at Bride Street Church today (Tuesday, May 10) followed by burial in Crosstown Cemetery.
