John (Sean) Sinnott, late of Corish Park, was born in Drinagh on November 29, 1929, to Irene and Pat Sinnott. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather who loved the simple things in life.

John was witty and had a great sense of humour. His interests included reading, swimming, gardening and observing nature. He enjoyed fishing and in his early years was a keen cyclist.

However, his greatest love was for his wife Gretta and family.

John worked for more than 40 years in Telecom Eireann and travelled extensively in Waterford and Kilkenny prior to obtaining a permanent position in Wexford.

John's work colleagues remember him with great fondness for his generosity, wit and caring nature. He had a strong Christian faith and gave his time generously to the local community.

He was a co-founder of the Green in Corish Park and was proud of that achievement. Soon after he retired, John completed a charity cycle from Wexford to Belfast with some former colleagues which he enjoyed immensely. In later years, John looked forward to a stroll along the Main Street with a family member, stopping for a cuppa and a chat long the way.

Due to ill health, John spend the last two years of life in Wygram Nursing Home, where he received great care. He bore his illness with dignity and sadly passed away on Saturday, June 24, surrounded by his family. He was 87 years old.
