IRISH LANGUAGE ENTHUSIASTS, Na Macallaí, plan to round off the summer in Wexford with 'Ceol Cé', a day of Irish music and culture. Selskar Square will come alive with music and song on August 29, and some of Ireland's top musicians have been enrolled to take part including Liam O Maonlaoí of the 'Hot House Flowers'.

Other musicians included in the line up are Luan Parle, Clive Barnes, Gavin Ralston, Gerry 'Banjo' O'Connor and the U2 tribute band, Vertigo.

In the afternoon Irish dancers from Celtic Roots will also give displays in Selskar Square, while there will be Beamish and Mussel tasting in the Sky and the Ground during the afternoon; face-painting on the Main Street and a 'seisiún ceoil' in Maggie Mae's.

According to Irish language officer, Richie O'Hara it will have something for all the family.

'It's a festival for the family, and it's aimed at getting the Irish language onto the streets of Wexford,' he said.
