Nob Nation on way

Wednesday February 10 2010

SCENES of failing banks, falling stock markets, flailing politicians and famous sports stars will come to life on stage when RTE's Nob Nation comedian Oliver Callan begins his national tour in Wexford on February 26 and 27.

One of Ireland's greatest mimics, Monaghan native Callan revealed that he has been working on 'that incredibly difficult Wexford accent' so he can perfect some local characters for his upcoming shows.

The 29-year-old former news journalist, who mimics over a thousand voices, will perform live in White's Hotel on Friday, February 26 and Taghmon Community Centre on February 27.

'One of the Nob Nation writers is actually from Wexford, so the local information on characters from around the town and further afield should be interesting,' said Callan.
