Birthday girl Anita's gift for charity
THERE WERE great celebrations in the Riverbank House Hotel last Friday night as Anita O'Hara celebrated her 60th birthday among her family members and friends.
Chief among those in attendance were Anita's husband Ger, her daughter Susan and her husband Davy; her daughter Lynda and her partner Jason; her son Francis and his partner Janet, and her daughter Julie and her boyfriend James.
Anita, the youngest of a family of eight, was also joined by her brothers Fr. Joe McGrath, P.P. New Ross, Oliver and Albert; her sisters Kathleen and Muriel; her grandchildren Ryan, Luke, Emma and Amy Byrne, and Jason O'Hara-Murphy; her brother-in-law Tim Flood, and her sisters-in-law Ann McGrath.
Anita, originally from Davitt Road, but now resident in Coolcotts, was also joined by her many friends and her colleagues from Clonard Community Centre.
Her guests were asked not to bring presents on the night, but instead donations for two very worthy local causes and they responded generously. Anita raised €1,380 and this sum will be divided between Ard Aoibhinn and the Tracie Lawlor Trust.
