French family says thank you
THE FAMILY of murdered Wexford mother Rebecca French were overwhelmed by the response to a benefit night which was held recently in aid of her children.
'Our hearts are warmed by the kindness and support shown by the people of Wexford', said Rebecca's brother George.
The Wexford woman was brutally murdered last October in a crime that shocked the town. Five people have been charged arising from her death.
The benefit night was a huge success thanks to the people who turned up and local businesses and hotels that sponsored spot prizes.
'We would like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle. There was such a great response that we can's mention everyone individually. There were 64 in total', said George.
All raffle winners have received their prizes except Valerie Redmond, the Old Airfield Road; Theresa Burke, Castlebridge; Tracey Lawlor, Curracloe; and Jessica Hearne, Galbally.
