'Incident footage was destroyed'

A 50-YEAR- OLD, alleged to have assaulted another women in a snooker hall, appeared before last Tuesday's sitting of Wexford District Court.

Helen Kinsella from 54 Mount Carmel was before the court charged with assault causing harm on April 7, 2011, at Caesar's Palace on 9 Quay Street.

Defence solicitor Gerry Flynn explained that this case arose from an alleged assault by the defendant on another lady in a snooker hall.

It transpired the incident was recorded on CCTV, but the defendant's estranged husband, who was the manger of the snooker hall, appears to have destroyed the footage, claimed Mr Flynn.

Judge Haughton adjourned the case until July 17 when he said he would deal with the case on evidence.
