Maserati car club on way for anniversary
THE UK Maserati Club have chosen to celebrate their 40th anniversary spring meeting in Wexford, giving motor enthusiasts from around the county the chance to view over 50 beautifully maintained Maserati cars.
These amazing vehicles will arrive in Wexford from Thursday 26 April and will tour the South East until April 29. Club chairman Roger Epsztajn has been coming to Wexford for the Opera Festival for a number of years and has been waiting for the opportunity to bring the Maserati Club here. 'I'm a big fan of Wexford Festival Opera, which I attend every year.'
Roger said, 'I love Wexford town, the people, the culture and it's somewhere I have always wanted to take the Maserati club tour and we are delighted to be travelling over this weekend.'
More than 50 cars are due to make the journey to Wexford, ranging from classics from as far back as 1955, right up to the sleek present day styling of the Maserati Quattroporte. The cars will form a concours showcase on Wexford's quayside on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the public invited to attend and vote for their favourite car of the show.
Michael Griffin, Chairperson of Visit Wexford Tourism said, 'We are delighted to welcome the Maserati club UK to Wexford and we hope this will be the first of many visits. 'These cars are the ultimate in motor sport and I would encourage everyone to take the opportunity to go to Wexford Quays on Saturday afternoon from 2.30 to 4 p.m. to enjoy the display.'
