SWEENEY of Wexford Handcrafted Furniture have just opened a brand new showroom which is a work of art in itself.
The two-storey, 3,600 sq ft showroom now open to the public, showcases the company's beautiful kitchen and furniture designs and has to be seen to be believed. The company which has been in business for 30 years specialises in solid-framed, tailor-made kitchens as well as bedroom furniture, bathroom units, study furniture and bespoke free-standing furniture.
Words are not adequate to describe the unique pieces designed by Paul Sweeney who exhibited some of his work during a special feature on the Late Late Show.
The kitchens which start at ¤3,500 range from classic to contemporary. The designs can incorporate state-of-the-art installations and fittings, including sensor-activated drawers and an extractor fan camouflaged as a chandelier-style hanging light.
Quality is guaranteed. Everything is made on the premises by experienced Irish cabinet makers and joiners.
A Sweeney hand-crafted kitchen might cost you a little bit more but what you get in return is a beautiful feature in your home that will last a life time.
The company which also does elaborate work in churches, making altars and confession boxes etc., uses a range of solid timbers including native Irish woods.
Contemporary enamel kitchens with a piano finish in any spray-painted colour are also made at the Larkin's Cross premises which is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The new showroom has many beautiful built-in examples of the work and is an eye-pleasing treat to visit.
