Personal trainer Sue Murphy spends her life encouraging people to get moving and if her recent fundraiser was anything to go by, she sure knows how to have fun while doing it.

Over 70 people put their best foot forward for Sue's third annual walk, which she organises in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation. The walk kicked off from the Stanville Lodge Hotel and travelled in a loop around Barntown. However, before the walkers set off on their travels, Sue made sure that she put them through their paces with a lively warm-up.

'It was great fun. We did a few exercises to music just to get warmed up,' said the Wexford resident. 'We had kids and adults joining in. It was particularly good to see the men getting involved!'

The participants walked the route at a steady pace, with some taking to the saddle and cycling the route. They then returned to the hotel, where they cooled down with some ice-cream and refreshments.

Through the walk, Susan and all involved raised €780 for the Irish Heart Foundation, with funds still rolling in for the cause. Sue is delighted with the figure, which already exceeds last year's total.

The annual event was established by Sue and her husband Nick to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation. The pair decided to lend a hand to the cause as both have family members with heart problems.
