Crazy, the debut single from the Gnarls Barkley duo of Danger Mouse and CeeLo Green, was six weeks into a nine-week run at number one in the UK charts when this chart was published ten years ago, on May 21, 2006. The duo, and their record company, actually pulled the single on May 29 after seven consecutive weeks at the top, so people would 'remember the song fondly and not get sick of it', but record stores had plenty of stock remaining and this - combined with download sales - ensured another two weeks at No. 1. By the end of 2006 Crazy was the biggest selling single in the UK that year and the seventh biggest seller in the US. In 2009, Rolling Stone placed it at number one in a '100 Best Songs Of The Decade' list; in 2011 NME placed it at number 32 on its '150 Tracks of the Past 12 Years' list.
