Frequently included in 'best songs of all time' lists, 'Mr Tambourine Man' was The Byrds' debut single from the album of the same name. It not only reached number one in charts around the world, but also helped establish The Byrds as global superstars. The song was written by Bob Dylan and featured on his 1965 album 'Bringing It All Back Home', but the Byrds' version - based on a Dylan demo of the song - was released first. It played a major part in establishing the folk rock genre.
