Barbra Streisand is one of the top selling recording artists of all time, and 'Woman In Love' the biggest hit of her stellar career. Written by Barry and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, it reached number one in charts all around the world, including the US, UK and Ireland. It sold a staggering 1.3 million copies in France, where it was by far the biggest selling single of 1980. Despite the huge success of 'Woman In Love', Streisand has stated she dislikes the song, as she doesn't believe in the meaning of the lyrics. She rarely performs it live.
