Why do we need to detox?

By now lots of you will be thinking about detoxing. But why bother, why detox at all? Can't our bodies deal with its own toxins?
It can deal with toxins very efficiently when our liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, skin, and lymphatic system are all working at optimum level and haven't had an overload of toxins to deal with. Exercise helps but we tend to break the routine.
