By now lots of you will be thinking about detoxing. But why bother, why detox at all? Can't our bodies deal with its own toxins?

It can deal with toxins very efficiently when our liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, skin, and lymphatic system are all working at optimum level and haven't had an overload of toxins to deal with. Exercise helps but we tend to break the routine. Toxins are not only from the food that we eat but from the chemicals that we put on our bodies and hair, and from the products we use to clean the house too. So we have a lot of toxins to deal with.

You should only attempt a detox when you are feeling well and are not too tired, simply because your body needs energy to get rid of toxins. Also wait until all social events are over and you have either given away or eaten all of the foods that you plan to eliminate from your diet. Then make a plan and implement your new routine.

Avoid all sweet treats, fizzy drinks, alcohol, processed foods and sugar. Eat fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, oily fish, and some good quality protein from eggs and meat. Drink plenty of water and reduce tea and coffee. Include Apple Cider Vinegar, lemon in water, and cleansing herbal teas. Consider taking Flor Essence Cleansing Herbal Tea to support your detox.

You can do a 3- 10 day detox to gently cleanse and revitalise the body. You may experience headaches, tiredness, or a flare up of digestive problems. Which are the very symptoms that you're trying to clear but this will be short lived and you'll feel great at the end of the detox.

The main signs that you need to do a detox include: fatigue, poor skin condition, foggy brain, constipation, bloating, headaches, and allergies are all related to toxin overload and are a sign that your liver is under pressure. If you have lots of symptoms and they are on-going you may need to do an intense cleanse. You may need the help of a qualified therapist to make sure that all health issues and all organs of elimination are dealt with properly.

The benefits of a detox include increased energy, digestion, glowing skin, and an improved sense of wellbeing.
