OVER THE WATER
BARBEQUE: Continuing on from the enormous success of last year's barbeque, the Shelmalier GAA club are holding a monster Autumn barbeque at the Hollymount complex on Saturday next, September 4. Tickets are again priced at €15 and they can be purchased from Flanagan's of Castlebridge, Freddie's in Screen and Hotel Curracloe. The club officials ask that you purchase your ticket as soon as possible as the attendance will be limited.

GLEN CELTIC LADIES: Glen Celtic ladies and underage teams are back in flying form preparing for the new season which is just around the corner. We wish to invite all new, old and existing players to join us for the coming season. We have an affiliation night in Mernagh's lounge, Oylegate on Thursday 2nd September at 7.30 pm.

MASS TIMES: Saturday evening at 8.15pm, Sunday at 10am, Tuesday evening at 7.30pm and Thursday and Saturday morning at 9.30am.LOURDES A six day pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from 7th to 12th September - special price offer of €599. The Spiritual Director for the Pilgrimage is Fr. Danny McDonald.

FIRST FRIDAY: Friday 3rd September is the first Friday of the month. Mass will be celebrated at 9am and invalids and the housebound will be visited as usual. TG4 CREW A TG4 crew visited Oulart-The Ballagh G.A.A. club last Tuesday, 24th August to interview and film for "Seo Spoirt", a snippet of which was shown last Friday night.
CROSSABEG
CHILDCARE CENTRE: Crossabeg community Childcare centre welcomed its first clients to its new facility at Sion on Monday, August 30.Located close to the primary school it caters for children of all ages from 6 months to 12 years. The centre which opens from 8.30 a.m to 6 p.m daily provides services ranging from pre-school to full day care to after school care.
ADAMSTOWN
CARDS: The weekly "30" Card Game continues in the Community Centre on Friday 3rd September at 9pm. There is €220 in prize money on offer each night. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Catering on Friday 3rd September will be: Cathy O'Gorman, Bridget O'Gorman, Ann Stafford, Kay Whelan and Agnes Whelan, Kellystown. Proceeds going to Parish Funds.
