LOURDES TICKETS

Reminding the Parish Committee that the tickets for the Lourdes Draw must be returned on Good Friday at 8pm in the Community Centre for the draw on Easter Sunday.

CARDS

The weekly 30 card game continues in the Community Centre on Friday, April 2, at 9pm. There is ¤220 in prize money each night. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Catering on Friday, April 2 will be Kathleen Barden, Maura Barden and Siobhan Hynes. Proceeds going to Parish Funds.

VINTAGE CLUB

The Shamrock Vintage Club are holding their Annual Pat Byrne Memorial Road Run on Easter Monday, April 4. The check-in time will be 11.30am sharp and starting at 1pm sharp from St. Abbans Hall carpark. Proceeds to Raheen Day Care Centre.

CAMOGIE NEWS

Come support the girls on Easter Saturday evening, April 3, as they play the Junior B league final against Clongeen in Adamstown at 6pm. In conjunction with the ladies football and soccer clubs, we are having a presentation night in the Stanville Lodge on Friday night, May 21. Tickets on sale soon.

PUBLIC MEETING

A public meeting regarding the desperate state of local roads will be held in Camross Hall on Tuesday, April 6, at 8.30pm. Local councillors, all Oireachtas members and Senior Road Officials have been invited to attend.

WINNING CAPTAIN

Congratulations and well done to Dylan Carthy-Walsh who was captain of the Good Counsel College juvenile football team that recently won the Leinster School's A title at Portlaoise, and also to panel members James Furlong, Laurence and Patrick Roche.

SYMPATHY

Our sympathy is extended to Kathleen and Pat Lawlor and family, Knockreigh, Adamstown, on the death of Kathleen's brother Joe Morris, White Rock View, Wexford. His funeral Mass took place on Tuesday, March 23 in Clonard Church with burial afterwards in Crosstown Cemetery. Our sympathy also to James and Marie Buckley and family, Raheenaclonagh, Adamstown, on the sudden death of James's cousin, Conor Buckley, Davidstown/Ballyhyland, Caim. His funeral Mass took place on Thursday, March 25 in Caim Church with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. May they rest in peace.

EASTER GARDEN

The Easter garden will be erected on Good Friday evening at 5pm. Anybody wishing to help or contribute will be very welcome.

CHARITY COLLECTION

On Easter Sunday, your support for the street children of Bucharest will be much appreciated by donating any dried or tinned foods.
