There was a very large attendance a the annual Patron and Blessing of Graves in St. Abbans Cemetery. The Patron Mass was celebrated by Fr. Robert Nolan PP assisted by Fr. Jim Furlong C.C and Fr. Ned Roche, Patrick Cullen, Margaret Hewer, Maureen Delaney, Josie Thorpe, Sean Cullen, Statia Barron, Elizabeth French, John Murphy, Peadar McDonald, John Creane, Nellie Finn, Michael Furlong, Lena Doyle, Maureen Delaney (Dublin) Breda Cahill, Mary Connors, Maura Kelly, Anastasia O'Gorman, John Power, Bridget Doyle, Marie McDonald, Jimmy Purcell, Joan Brennan and Molly Larkin. The cemetery looked splendid for the occasion, and thanks is due to everyone who put in such effort to have their graves, headstones and kerbs looking so well. Many thanks is also due to the FAS workers and the voluntary work of the Cemetery Committee, who kept our cemetery one of the best kept in the South East.
