CARDS - The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 2nd November at 9.00 pm.

The next draw in the Adamstown Lotto is this Monday November 5 in The Outhouse, Newbawn at 10.30pm for a Jackpot of €12,345.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

Following this year's successful Harvest Festival it is worth while having a look back over the past ten years and realizing the fantastic generosity of so many people over the years, the goodwill and continued support can only be viewed with pride and willingness to help the last well off both in far away Uganda and much nearer to home.

The following is a breakdown of an amazing €91,600 raised since 2002 and distributed as follows: Sr. Helen for her lifesaving work in Uganda €65,100. The balance of monies raised was €26,500 and was shared by the following: Hospice Homecare (two separate amounts) Cemetery Committee-help with the provision of the new toilets. Community Centretowards cost of new kitchen plus this years divide. Adamstown Variety Group, Columbus House (Cork), Community Hospital, New Ross, Hope Centre ( 3 Separate amounts), Wexford Women's Refuge, Mental Health (2 separate amounts), Irish Wheelchair Association, Raheen Day Care Centre (2 separate amounts) Adamstown Active Retirement Association and Slaney Search and Rescue.

VARIETY GROUP

COLAISTE ABBAIN

The AGM of the Parents Association of Colaiste Abbain will be held on Thursday November 8 at 7.30 p.m. in the school. It is imperative that as many parents as possible attend this meeting. In the present economic environment educational cut backs have become all too common and this is having a direct influence on our children's education. It is important that we continue to have a strong Parents Association to work on behalf of parents and students. Please attend this meeting.

The monthly first Tuesday Rosary at the Grotto in Knockreigh will take a break as the dark Winter evenings have now arrived and will resume in the New Year.

ICA CLASSES

I.C.A. Decoupages classes will commence in Adamstown Community Centre on Tuesday November 6 at 8pm. The Knitting and Stitching Show will take place in the R.D.S from 1st - 4th November.

SCHOOLBOY RESULTS

The U-12 boy's football team had their blitz final in Clongeen on Sat 20th October, they won one game and lost one game, so well done to all. The A team is expected to play this weekend the 28th October. Last Sunday, October 21, the U10 footballers played in the final of the Sarsfields tournament. The tip part shield Final. They played against TaghmonCamross in a very exciting game from start to finish at the end Adamstown came out on top on a final score of 4-4 to 1-6. SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE

Wexford General Hospital's Annual Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday 16th November at 7.30pm in Clonard Church. Families of patients who died in Wexford General Hospital recently or in the past are cordially invited to attend.
