Tullamore was the destination on Saturday for our U.12 girls who took part in the Camán & hurl incentive. The girls wore their jerseys with pride & a great day was had by all. Our U.14 camogie team continued their winning streak when they defeated St. Ibars in Hollymount Thursday 4-3 to 1-4.

Coiste na nÓg

Well done to our U.7 and U.8 boys who travelled to Castletown for matches on Saturday morning and really enjoyed the day.

Our U.12 boys footballers fielded no less than three teams last Tuesday with all three teams playing away & over 50 boys togging out. The Green team & Blue team took on St Martins in Piercestown while the White team played Duffry Rovers in Coolree. A great achievement for the club at this age & to come back that evening with 100 % success rate owes great credit to the players and mentors.

The U.14 footballers travelled to Horeswood on Thursday where they snatched a draw with a last minute goal from Conor Mahony.

The U.16 A footballers played Sarsfields Monday & after a hard fought battle pulled away in the second half to record another win. The U.16 B footballers played Ferns and put in an impressive performance but came up the tiniest bit short on a scoreline of 4-6 to 3-8.

Michael Laffan Tournament

A glorious day dawned for the club on Saturday last for the first Michael Laffan Memorial Tournament and Michael himself must have been smiling down upon us in the form of the sunshine. Several weeks of detailed planning came to it's culmination with a day which saw over 250 players from six different counties aged U.10 and U.11 take to the field in a flurry of skill and sport.

There could not have been a more fitting tribute to the late great Gael Michael who worked tirelessly in his lifetime for Glynn Barntown GAA Club and several members of his family were on hand to oversee the proceedings.

A huge thank you goes to the organisers and in particular Conor Kavanagh, the Senior and Minor players who gave of their time to officiate, the visiting clubs, the home teams who were exemplary both on and off the field on Saturday, their parents, the sponsors, all four club Chairmen who were present and busy and Wexford County GAA Games Development Officer Eoin Morrissey who dropped in on the day. Most especially thank you to the Laffan family for their involvement in making the occasion such a success in Michael's memory.

Senior GAA

On Sunday it was the turn of our Senior hurlers to battle for glory with St Annes in Innovate Wexford Park. They were out hurled in the first half and things looked bleak at the interval where St Annes led 1-10 to 0-4 but our boys did rally in the second half to close the gap to 5 points at one stage with goals from Mark Fanning ( free) , Kevin Crean & Daire Barron. The final score 2-14 to 3-5. That evening the Junior hurlers took on St Fintans in championship and had a comfortable win 5-15 to 0-09

Ladies Football

Our U.10 ladies footballers defeated Clongeen away on Sunday while our U.12s also came out winners over Ballyhogue on Monday. The U.16s got a walkover from Taghmon/ Camross on Wednesday.
