The St Fintans GAA lotto now stands at €4,200 and tickets can be purchased in the local shops,club grounds on Tuesday evenings from 8pm and from club members at a cost of €1.50. There is also a match three prize of €300 up for grabs each week and Paul McDonnell and Wm.Whitmore shared this prize with the following numbers drawn 13,16,27,30. All Ireland Home Cook
The Bannow & Rathangan Show have teamed up with The Irish Shows Association (ISA) and the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland (ACBI) to launch a new competition called "The All Ireland Home Cook" and are looking for someone who can demonstrate 'Creativity with Irish Ingredients'.
If you are passionate about Irish produce and local sourcing and you've always fancied yourself as a bit of a natural in the kitchen visit www.craftbutchers.ie orwww.irishshows.org to fill out our application form to be in with a chance to win a week's cooking course at the world renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School to include accommodation. Cook off will take place at the Bannow & Rathangan Show on July 9th with TV3's celebrity Chef Adrian. Final in Castleblaney August 3rd.
After weeks of preparations the Feile weekend has finally arrived. The Féile na nÓg National tournaments will be held in South Leinster (Carlow/Wicklow/Wexford) over this coming weekend. St.Fintans will have both the u14 boys and u14 girls teams competing in the tournaments which will be run over the 3 days.
St.Fintans/Our Ladys Island U14 boys will host a team from Listowel Co.Kerry with the visiting boys staying for the two nights with host families in Killinick and Our Ladys Island. The U14 girls will host a team from Co.Cavan, again with their visiting girls being accomodated with local families.
Both visiting clubs will arrive in Ballymore at 1pm on Friday where they will receive a St.Fintans welcome crammed with hospitality. The visiting boys and girls will then be taken to their host houses to settle in and rest for an hour before the real work begins.
Friday afternoon our u14 boys along with Listowel Emmets will travel to Grantstown where each team will play their opening two games of the tournament V Westmeath and Bannow. The girls team will play in Ballymore Friday evening with their first game V Dublin at 4.30pm. A total of four games will be played in Ballymore Friday evening with an expected finish up time of 8pm. A busy evening!
Tea/coffee and refreshments will be served throughout the late afternoon/evening. Saturday morning both the boys and girls teams will play at home. There will be a parade led by traditional bagpipes around the field at 10am in which u6 to u12 boys and girls teams will take part. This will be the boys only home fixture of the tournament and we urge as many supporters as possible to come along and cheer on the troops.
On Saturday afternoon the girls will travel to Ferns Centre of Excellence for further games and the boys will play in St.Martins at 3pm. The results of these group games will determine Sundays fixtures for both teams. The progress of both teams will be communicated by club text and social media throughout the weekend with knockout fixtures being communicated as soon as they will be determined.
A lot of time and hard work has gone into this coming weekend. Our Feile parents committee along with club officials have put a huge amount of time and organisation into ensuring our own teams aswell as our two visiting teams have a weekend that they will remember forever.
The club urges all members, players and supporters to come along over the weekend and cheer on the teams and enjoy in the excitement of this wonderful weekend for our club. The very tastiest of refreshments will be available to all who visit the Clubgrounds over the two days.
A new women's social group started in Tomhaggard social centre last week with a great response from the community. Meetings will take place on Mondays 10-1, cost €5.
The ladies have come up with fantastic ideas of crafts, skills, and activities to do over the coming months, from sewing, crochet, cooking, writing, book swop, furniture restoration, craft projects, dancing, drama. All done while enjoying a cuppa and chat. Everyone shares their skills or just sit back and learn. For more information contact Angela 0872840272.

Marie Goodwin, Loughgunnan will open her garden on Sunday July 12th from 2-6pm. Complimentary tea and cakes will be served and all donations are in aid of Mayglass National school. All are welcome.
St Fintans Ladies' underage teams were in action at u10 and u14 level this week.The u10s were at home to Glynn/Barntown and had a good win , recording a score of 3-4 to 2-1. Well done to Niamh Devereux, Mary Furlong, Alan Wallace and Ritchie O'Connor for there continuing good work with this group.
Our u14s played away to Clongeen.Just two points in front at half time the girls powered ahead in the second half to win with a score of 7-12 to 3-11.
Do come and support this team at upcoming Feile Competition.The hard working mentors with this group are Nicky Sinnott, Mary T Ryan, and Ber Kelly.
Present at the most recent meeting of the Kilinick ICA guild were president Mary Quirke and sixteen fellow members. During the meeting arrangements were made for the annual "summer break"night out which will include a meal at the Riverbank hotel on June 29th. A very interesting demonstration on hat making was given by Alice Kelly. The competition winners were 1st Doris Kelly, 2nd Cathy Byrne and 3rd Mary Quirke,the competition for the next meeting is for something new out of something old.
The Bargy vintage club will hold a fundraising barbecue supporting local charities on Saturday June 27th at Ye Olde Coopers Inn, Killinick from 6pm till late. Food will be served from 6.30pm-9.30pm and the music will be provided by Point Blank and Tom Murphy while admission is just €5. The evening will also Tug O War and a raffle. The club held its AGM during the recent past with Fr Murty Byrne PP elected as president and the outgoing committee was returned enblock. Chairman Willie Day,Secretary Eileen Hayes and Treasurer John Rowe.
The St Fintans golfing society held its most recent outing on the lovely Enniscorthy golf course on Saturday morning last. Though the turnout was low,conditions were ideal and scores returned were respectable with Jim Brauneisen taking the spoils second Paddy Mc Guire and third Jimmy Day. The 2 club prizes were won by Fintan Murphy,Paddy Mc Guire,Brendan Pettit and Jimmy Day. The next outing will take place on July 25th at St Helens Bay.
St Vincent De Paul
A collection in aid of the above will take place in both churches in the parish over the weekend of June 27th/28th. Your support wouild be gratefully appreciated.
The Nepal fundraiser help at Supervalu last Saturday raised €1,145; thanks to Wallace's for the use of the premises and to all who contributed to this worthy cause.

In the u12 Championship played at Grantstown on Friday 12 th June we were beaten by Blackwater on a score line of 4 goals to 2.
In the U14 Championships we beat Kilmore on a score line of 4-1 to 1-4 the game was played in Grantstown on Sunday 14th June. Lots of games coming up now after the exams, so lots of luck girls.
GAA club news
No winners on the lotto numbers 8, 12, 17 and 32. Eight match three winners were Joan O Keefe, Alice Dunne, Angela Murphy, Tina Flynn, Michael Wallace, Conor Furlong, S&CMurphy and Richard Purcell. Next draw in the Complex on Tuesday 30th June and the Jackpot will be 7,100 euro.

This weekend the Club will host Feile 2015 over in Grantstown. What an honour for the parish. Teams from all over Ireland take part in Feile including London and New York. A Hugh clean up took place in Grantstown to show off our fine grounds and Complex. Feile will begin on Friday all information will be on our facebook page. A hugh thank you to all our volunteers, parents, players and mentor's for all their hard work in preparing this hugh event. Hoping to see everyone giving their support to the young people of our Parish during their games.
Well done to Mairead Moran who travelled to London with the Ladies football, to Niall Harney who scored five points for the Junior county footballers v Longford and sees them play Meath this Thursday 26th June, and also to Ben Brosnan who will tog out against Down in Wexford park this Saturday evening

Adults and children from Ballymitty and surrounding areas are putting on a variety show of music, song and dance in Ballymitty Village Hall on 25th June at 8pm, including Ballymitty Folk Group and other special guests. Admission €5 for Adults-Free for children. Proceeds are going to Ballymitty Hall Fund and Ballymitty National School.

The Phil Murphy weekend is on from Thursday 23rd July to Sunday 26th with the Kilfenora ceile band, Finbar Furey and many others taking part. Details next week.
BINGO IS BACK
Bingo is back next Sunday 28th June in the Stella Maris at 8pm. Looking forward to seeing you all there. And then we have our Festival Bingo on the following Sunday 5th July.

The 30th Seafood Festival takes place Thursday 9th to Sunday to Sunday 12th July. Volunteers are needed for food preparation and serving of seafood in the Stella Maris Centre on these four days with morning, afternoon and evening shifts. The annual novena to St. Anne takes place in Tomhaggard from 18th to 26th July with Mass each evening at 7.30pm. The Patron and field day will be on Sunday July 26th at 2.30pm.

Active Retirement news
Kilmore Active Retirement Association will be holding an extraordinary meeting on Monday 29th June at 8pm in the Kilmore GAA clubrooms. The meeting will attend to an issue which cannot wait until our next ordinary meeting in September, so it will be just a short meeting to deal with this piece of business.
Tenpin bowling continues every Monday at Leisuremax at 11-00am. Indoor bowling resumes on Thursday 25th at the Stella Maris from 7-9pm.
All in Active Retirement congratulate Toddy and Pam who were married on Thursday 18th in Danby Lodge at what was a very enjoyable event, and needless to say the floor was well "dusted" by the guests who came to wish the happy couple all the best in their future life together.

Senior Citizens Day Outing
Our Lady's Island/Tacumshane Seniors Citizens day outing takes place tomorrrow, Wednesday, 24th June , bus leaving the Island at 8.30a.m., heading to the Wax Museum, Dublin.
The Annual Patrons in Tacumshane will take place as follows: Churchtown-Friday, July 10th at 7.30 pm. Tacumshane graveyard-Sunday, July 12th at 2.30 pm, and followed by the Garden Party at the Parochial House. Raffle tickets are now on sale from committee members-your support will be very much appreciated.

This coming weekend Our Lady's Island/St Fintan's U-14's will take part in the Feil Peil which is hosted by Wexford, Wicklow and Carlow.
They are hosting a team from Listowel Emmets from Co. Kerry. On Friday, 26th the Feil begins by greeting our visiting team in Ballymore at 1pm.
The first matches are that evening in Grantstown starting at 4.30pm. There will be matches between Bannow/Ballymitty, Listowel Emmets , Killucan (Westmeath) and OLI/St Fintan's.
On Saturday, 27th it starts with a parade in Ballymore pitch for the Feile teams and also any players from U-6s to U-12s Coiste teams who wish to take part at 10am. The St Fintan's girls play their visiting team of Castlerahan/Denn, Co. Cavan at 10.30am. The boys play their only home match v ListowelEmmets at11.15am.
The quarter finals of the shield and cup take place on Saturday afternoon in Piercestown. The Semi finals and Finals take place on Sunday in Ballinakill,Co.Wicklow. All in both clubs would like to wish our U-14s the very best of luck in the competition and we hope fun is had and friendships made!
Our Lady's Island I.C.A. summer outing is on Tuesday next, 30th June with bus leaving the Island at 9a.m.
They are visiting Delta Gardens in Carlow, then on to Kilkenny for sightseeing and shopping with dinner in the Riverbank House Hotel on the way home.
