COISTE NA NÓG
Our 36 of our U7s and U8s made the trip of a lifetime to Croke Park last Monday where they spent a memorable day which included togging out in the dressing rooms, running through the tunnel and playing on the hallowed pitch itself. The icing on the cake was going up the Hogan Stand steps to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup individually! The boys had a tremendous day and represented their club and families with pride. Thanks to the mentors for organising the event and to the parents who attended.
The U9s and 10s boys made up 2 mixed teams and played in a Thomastown hurling blitz last Saturday. It was a great experience for the boys and an enjoyable few hours hurling for everyone involved.
The U16s were defeated by St Martins on Monday evening in hurling. Naomh Eanna Gorey didn't fulfil their Minor Football fixture with our boys on Wednesday last and so the boys were awarded the points.
The Minor hurlers set off for Galway on Saturday to take part in St Brendans hurling club 7 aside hurling tournament. Having won their 3 preliminary games comfortably they came up against Loughrea Galway in the final and went on a scoring rampage to defeat their opposition and lift the cup.
