Well done to Emma Owens who won the discus in the Premier Women's National League Final. A throw of over 35m earned the Wexford Women top points in the event. Emma also made her national javelin debut, stepping in to fill an empty event on the day. Despite not being a javelin thrower, Emma was able to beat three of her rivals to earn 5th place and more points, making her one of the top contributors to the Wexford team on the day. The team finished in 7th place overall, a great achievement for a team who were only promoted a couple of years ago!
