Our Junior ladies football team travel to Davidstown in their County Semi-Final match this Tuesday evening at 7.15.If they are lucky this evening they will have a County Final this Sunday. Best of luck to the team and their mentor's David Sinnott, Paul Diskin, Barry Sinnott and Colm Murphy.
Keep 27th September free for the Club's Fittest Family and fun day events. Mixed teams of four will take part in an obstacle course. Opened to all male, female and children from 10 years upwards. The Ladies Camogie had a great win over Ferns last week final score 4-12 to no score this lands them into a Semi final spot soon. Well done to the squad and to Davy MacDonald and Bid O'Sullivan.
The Junior Hurling team had a good win over Gusserane in their Championship match. Well done lads and to Pat Fitzharris, Bertie Doyle, Larry Coleman and David Currid.

In the junior county quarter final the girls beat Ferns on a score line of 4-12 to no score. Well done girls and also well done to the mentors. Congrats to the U10 team who beat St James by 11-2 to no score in the mini league. Good luck in your remaining games.

Community Employment: Grantstown Day Care Centre is now recruiting for the forthcoming CE Scheme beginning September 2015. Carers, kitchen staff, and maintenance workers. To be eligible you must be over 25 years old and be in receipt of Social Welfare for 12 months or more. Signing for credits does not make you eligible for a CE Scheme.

Corach Ramblers FC

The first draw took place on Sunday 16th August in Corach Ramblers Club House. Our first winner was Sarah Meyler who scooped up a massive €260. Corach Ramblers would like to thank all the businesses involved for their continued support. Results of this weeks draw that took place in Colfers Pub on Sunday last will be published next week. Next draw will take place in Staffords on Sunday 30th at 6.30pm.
All teams are in full swing into their pre season training. Keep an eye on their Facebook page: Corach Ramblers FC for up and coming events and training sessions.
The Men's A Team had a good run out last week at home against local rivals Fastnet Rovers. Corach ran out 4-2 winners with the goals coming from John Staples, Rajiv Kumar (2), Conor Neville. The Men's A team also played Taghmon A in a practice match and won 4-1. Scorers were Adam Diskin (2), Jon Reville (2).
Men's B Team played their first pre season game last Thursday away to Rosslare Port B and had a good 4-3 win, Stephen Diskin, Adam Diskin, Darragh O'Connor and Mark Sinnott with the goals.
Both teams play their first game of the season at home this coming Sunday.

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €6,600. The winning numbers were 3,8,10,16. Congratulations to the 11 match 3 winners who each receive €28. As and from 1st September 2015 the system for the payment of new graves in Rathangan Cemetery will change, the payment from now on will be handled by the funeral undertakers who will include the price on their invoice.
The prices which were agreed by the parish council in 2006 remain unchanged: (Single €150, Double €300, Treble €450). Graves may be pre bought but the price per grave doubles (Single €300, Double €600, Treble €900).
Pre bought graves will only be allocated in rotation and must be kerbed within Six Months of purchase otherwise the plot reverts back to the parish with the payment non-refundable.
The payment of pre bought graves will be handled by the parish council, All queries will be dealt with by the secretary Martina Furlong (051-563262,086-3509600
We are delighted to announce some of our production team for Calamity Jane. Our musical director is once again the wonderful maestro Mr. Fintan Cleary and this year we are delighted to have acquired the expertise and brilliance of a very well known director, Mr. Alan Corcoran, YES, south East Radio's very own Alan Corcoran comes to us with vast experience and knowledge and he is really looking forward to seeing all the talent our wonderful parish has to offer.

The Charity Drive held in Ballymagyr on Sunday the 9th August was a great success. Thanks to all who contributed and helped in any way. A grand total of €2,376 was raised for Wexford Hospice Homecare.
Strollers / Striders
Philomena, Jacintha and Martin (Irish Heart Foundation Trained Community Walking Leaders) would like to invite you to come along to our new 4 week Strolling programme. Participating in a regular walking programme can boost energy levels, helps relieve stress, reduce the risks of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. We are here to encourage and motivate our communities to get active.
Most of our current "Strollers" have now advanced into our new Group "Striders". This leaves us looking for new "Strollers". Our strolling sessions are very easy gentle walks. We take things very slowly. We stroll for 20 to 25 minutes taking short rest periods where needed.
Our new programme starts on Monday 7th September at 7pm in Rathangan Hall, and we will meet every Monday in Sept at 7pm. Striders will also meet at the same time, we will all do warm up exercises together and walk out together. The Striders will walk for approx 35-45 mins. Tea and coffee afterwards and a chat.

The Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles had their week away lately in Dungarvan in the Gold Coast Resort.A fantastic week was had by all and the golf was pretty good as well.. After 2 rounds that week Oliver 'The Cute Fox' ran away with the title with John Doyle 2nd and Johnny Doyle 3rd. John 'The Golfer' Colfer coming in 4th. Thanks to all who travelled and played and the ladies for selecting the prizes.
The Irish Agricultural Museum will host the 2015 Open Potato Championship as part of the Annual Gardening Show on 12th & 13th September. Also in the Show this year keen gardeners from across Wexford can exhibit their homegrown fruit, flowers and vegetables. Schedules are now available from Mary Ellen on 086 244 1935.
The playschool will reopen on Mon 31 August at 9.30 am. Enrollments will take place on the morning.There are still places available for the free preschool year (ECCE scheme). Places also for younger children at €10 per morning. All welcome on the morning to view our facility and meet other parents and staff.
