Joanne's Fitness 4 Women classes commenced on Monday 7th September in Carrig on Bannow. For all details please contact Joanne Waters on 087 2861727 and facebook Joanne Waters.
All classes are suitable for beginners and advanced levels. Other venues include Ballycullane Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Campile Hall Wednesday evenings. Aerobic Combo, Boxercise, Circuits, something for everyone. 8 euro per class with multi class rates, starting at 7.30pm.
cycle for Homeless
Dennis Kenny will participate in the annual Peter McVerry Dublin Wexford cycle on 19th September for the homeless. His target is to raise €2,000. Please donate at Bannow PO Wellingtonbridge PO or text Dennis at 0868200992. Your help is needed now more than ever.
The Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles were in Rathaspeck this week with Clive Kelly 1st and Ger Stafford 2nd and John Colfer 3rd and also winning the birdie club. Next weekend Sept 13th we are playing Waterford Castle with tee off at 12 noon Please be early and ready to play See you all there.
The Committee of Carrig-on -Bannow CFR group would like to thank the Committee of the local Dance for their support of our Fundraising efforts. The Committee allowed us to hold the raffle at their June Dance in Carrig Hall. We raised €300 with thanks to great support from locals and dancers on the night.
The Dance Committee very generously matched our efforts and we were delighted with their contribution. Many thanks to all involved in the raffle and the Dance-we wish them continued success.
The AGM of the Bannow / Ballymitty community alert will take place in Carrig community centre on Wednesday 23rd September. Please bring your text alert membership on the night.

GAA club news
Lotto numbers for last week 3, 10, 17 18. No jackpot winner. Match three numbers winners were Bridie Martin, Tullicanna, Ellen Diskin, Sheastown, Aaron Neville, Kilderry , Sinead O' Sullivan Knockbine and Derek Browne. Well done to all our winners next Jackpot 8,900 .

The Junior footballers lost by 2 points in the District Final against St. James. Hard luck lads and thanks to their mentors Jack Harpur , Mick Nacey, Ned Sinnott and John O Sullivan.
The Junior ladies football team will play their County Final this Sunday 20th either against St.Annes /Clonee. Venue and time on the facebook page.
Clothes collection in the Complex last day will be Wednesday 23rd. Please place all unwanted clothes in black bags.
Register for the obstacle course which takes place on Sunday 27th September will begin in Monday 21st between 7-9. A mixed team (male, female and kids from 10 years upwards) 40 euro. A fun filled day in Grantstown ranging from bouncy castles, face painting, bottle stand, skittles and loads loads more will take place.
We need bottles, jars and cans to be donated for the bottle stand. All donations very kindly accepted.
Well done to John Mernagh jnr on winning €50 in the Wexford GAA lotto.
The Intermediate footballers had a great win over Ferns last week which sees them into a County Semi-Final. Final score B/B 3-20 Ferns 7 points. Well done to the squad and their management team Pip Murphy, Dan Brosnan and Tomas Kavanagh. Draw will take place soon.
Corach Ramblers FC News
Corach Ramblers "Split the Pot" draw took place on Sunday 30th ugust in Tir na nÓg. Our winner was Mary Quirke who scooped up an enormous €354.
Corach Ramblers would like to thank all the businesses involved for their continued support. Results of this week's draw that took place in the Corach Ramblers Club House on Sunday last after the B team game will be published next week. Next draw will take place in Murphy's Pub, Carrig on Bannow on Sunday 20th September.
Corach Ramblers FC has a clothes collection bin located in Wellington Bridge near the playground. Every full bin contributes funds to the running of the club.
OTHER FUNDRAISERS: The Ambassadors play Tir na nÓg on Saturday 10th October at 10pm. Entry is €5, all proceeds going to Corach Ramblers. We will also have a raffle on the night.
Corach Ramblers FC are hosting a table quiz in Stafford's Pub, Tullicanna on 20th October. A team of four costs 20 euro and there will also be a raffle on the night. It promises to be a fun filled and of course educational night.
ON THE FIELD: Corach Ramblers A team were away to Ajax Athletic and came away with a hard earned but deserved 2-1 victory.
Niall Harney opened the scoring early in the first half after some good play led to him hitting a low shot past the keeper. Jon Reville got the second after a Niall Harney free. Corach had Ajax under severe pressure for long periods leading up to half time. Ajax came back in the 2nd half but the Corach defence held firm and their midfield worked tirelessly to protect their back four. Ajax scored with 5 mins to go but Corach held out comfortably in the end.
B-team had a good 1-0 win away to Ajax B. Kevin Sinnott got the all important goal on his return after missing all last season. Welcome back Kevin.
Corach Ramblers are delighted to announce that the now have a full complement of girls teams up and running! U10, U12, U14, U16, Youths and Women's Teams.

There is a Family Fun Run/Walk/Crawl "5K and a Bit" in aid of Ballymitty new Hall Fund on 20th September at 12 noon leaving from Ballymitty Hall. Registration at 11am. Cost is €10 per adult €5 per child for information contact June 051560828 or Nuncie 0877650941.
This month's Dance takes place on Friday 18th September in Carrig Community centre with music by Derek Veale. Teas and refreshments served admission 8 euro.
A big thank you to Ballymitty Hall committee for organising and helping at the Bingo and for all the refreshments and prizes donated for the raffle and to all who supported the Bingo on the day. All proceeds went towards the repair and painting of the ball alley roof costing 3000 euro.
The girls were unlucky in the U12 league as they were beaten by one point by Buffers Alley. Final score was 1-4 to 2 goals. They had better luck in the same competition when they beat Oylegate 3-1 to 1 point.
The junior girls are in the county Final against Marshalstown on Sunday 4th October.
Cycle Against Suicide
A 55km cycle will take place on 26th September as part of the spin off for the Cycle Against Suicide. Riders will leave Wexford Quay at 11am. Refreshments and speakers will take place at the half way stage at the Stella Maris Centre in Kilmore Quay. All are welcome. Our under 10's played their last game on Saturday last against Bannow/Ballymitty they played their hearts out and never gave up, and just lost by a point. The girls have been great to work with over the year and their football have greatly improved. We would like to thank Ger, Marion and Sara for all their time given to train the girls and to the parents for bringing them to training and matches and look forward to seeing them all next year.
Our under 12's team captured the Division 1 county Title last Sunday in Wexford park over Crossabeg/Ballymurn in a great and hard fought game coming out winners 1:5 to 5 points. Well done girls and to yourproud managers Fintain O'Reilly and Aoife Cousins.
Our juniors played their league quarter final on Thursday night last over Bannow/Ballymitty in Grantstown. Having had a long break from their last league game in June our ladies played their hearts out and this showed on the scoreline coming out winners 2-12 to 2-6. Well done women and now there is a semi final against Fethard to look forward to in Kilmore.
Our Senior team was involved in their first ever division 1 County final recently against the Shels. It was a great achievement to the players and management team to get this far but unfortunately this was not be our day. With our young team and young players comming up along the way our ladies will be back in the final again. well done to everyone for giving us a year to remember.

Kilmore Camogie Club will hold its annual Autumn Clothes collection on Saturday 3rd October 9.30 to 12.30 in Kilmore GAA club rooms so if you are planning a summer clean out we will glady accept all clothes,shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, bed linen and soft toy.
Kilmore Quay ICA
The patchwork class on 8th October is fully booked. The Sale of Work is on Sunday 11th October at 2.30pm in The Stella Maris Centre. Cake chair, Wheel of Fortune, Books and Bric-a- Brac all the usual stalls.
Kilmore Active Retirement held its monthly meeting on Thursday last in the GAA clubrooms with the chairman Joe Bulmer presiding and with a good attendance of members present.
Programme for the coming months was decided on and in brief was as follows: every Wednesday Indoor bowling and card/board games in Stella Maris Centre at 2-00pm; Tenpin bowling every Monday at Leisuremax at 11-00am; Mobile phone tuition at Bridgetown Vocational College Monday 21st Sept and Monday 5th Oct at 11-00am; Carlow dinner dance Sunday 27th Sept at 1-00pm; South East Region Tenpin bowling competition at Leisuremax on Wednesday 7th October; Fun fundraising table quiz at the Hideout Tomhaggard on Thursday 8th Oct at 8-30pm; The over 50's show in the RDS from 9th to 11th October; South East Region ARA table quiz semi finals in Gorey on Monday 12th October at 3-00pm.
The County Wexford indoor bowls league will be commencing on the week of the 5th October and Kilmore will have two teams in that event. Our Christmas lunch and social was fixed for Wednesday 18th November at 1-00pm. Watch our Facebook page for updates and more details of events as they occur.
SCOPE annual meeting
Reminder of Kilmore SCOPE's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 16th September at 8-00pm. in the AOH hall, Bridgetown. We would welcome all members and people who have an interest in our work in the community, especially for older people to come along to this meeting.
