The next session of music, song and recitations takes place at Kyle Forge on Sunday, November 1 at 8 p.m. During the evening refreshments are served and a raffle also takes place.
Annis Kehoe of Slaneylodge has planned a coffee morning and sale of Christmas cakes, puddings, bracks, biscuit cakes, vegetables, bread, jams etc to take place in Kyle Forge on Saturday, December 5. Annis is back out on the roads of the parish on her bike getting fit to take on the arduous cycle to Lourdes in March of next year on behalf of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust, which caters for young people with special needs. Annis is now taking orders for Christmas puddings, cakes etc. She can be contacted on 087-2426146
Oylegate/Glenbrien Camogie club will hold their annual general meeting on Saturday, November 21. Venue and time to be confirmed later. Registration forms will also be available on the night for new members. The club will be taking orders for new half zips and skirts in the coming weeks and hope to have samples next week for anyone interested and there will be a night held for people to see the samples and to try them on. Sunday, November 1 is the Feast of All Saints. The Vigil Mass will be offered up at 7 p.m. on Saturday night with the Sunday morning Mass at 11.15 a.m. Monday, November 2 is the Feast of All Souls. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. and again in the evening at 7 p.m. If you would like to have your deceased relatives prayed for at this time, please leave your list in with Fr. Finn at the parochial house. Daily Mass on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9.30 a.m. Adoration every Monday from 1 p.m. until 7.20 p.m. with Mass at 7.30 p.m. Adoration then continues until 9 p.m.
The eagerly awaited Halloween House of Terror party in aid of the new Crossabeg/Ballymurn community centre will come to the community centre at Kyle on Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.. This year the House of Terror is part of the Wexford Festival Opera Fringe events.
Anyone who wishes to take part in the event or would like to help out with the organisation of same should contact Seamus Kehoe on 085-1280970 or Pat Gately on 086-3715000. All help welcome. Enter if you dare.
The annual Christmas party for the senior citizens of the parish will take place on December 13 at Ferrycarrig hotel. Many thanks to each and everyone who supported the coffee morning in the Forge on Saturday last and who were so generous in their donations. The organising committee of the Christmas party will be calling to householders in the coming weeks with raffle tickets for the party and again would welcome your generous support.
Outdoor training for the juvenile members of St. Killian`s athletic club takes place at the community field (under lights) every Monday and Thursday evening from 7-8 p.m. New members are always welcome.
Training for juveniles in Throwing events take place at the community field every Saturday morning from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Nicky Cowman will be in attendance in Adamstown hall every Wednesday night from 7.30-9 p.m specialising in High Jump and Hurdles training. All are welcome.

Thanks to all those who helped with the Halloween Disco last weekend and to to the parents and children who turned up in their fancy dress, a great night was had by all.
There will be a Halloween childrens Party on 31st October in the Big Tree from 4 to 6. Party Entertainers, Face Painting Disco and Games. Adults Fancy Dress from 9.00pm that night Fancy Dress prizes for the best costumes, Music and Enertainment till late.
Camogie Final Draw
Oulart-The Ballagh and Rathnure finished all level at the final whistle in Bellefield on Saturday 17th October. Most people will agree that Oulart-The Ballagh struggled for most of the match but, like the true champions they are, they never gave up and took the game to their opponents in the last ten minutes and forced a draw, in extra time. The full-time score was Oulart-The Ballagh 1 goal 13 points to 3 goals 7 points. The replay was fixed for Oylegate on Sunday 25th October at 11 am.
Oulart-The Ballagh Camogie Club are members of Hubangel. If you would like to avail of discounts in local shops and at the same time, raise money for the club download the Hubangel app on your smartphone.
St Mochua's Chapel
The organisers of the recent Coffee Morning that was held in Marty's, in aid of St. Mochua's Church would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support, especially those who gave generous donations, raffle prizes and baking. The amount raised was €700.

Congratulations and best wishes for the future to Mary Doyle, Ballineroad and Conaill Cooper, Monageer on the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Molly who came into the world on the morning of Thursday 22nd October. Molly is granddaughter to Joan Doyle, Ballinroad and first cousin of Mia, the daughter of Stephen and Dympna Doyle, Oulart Court.
Oulart Tidy Towns would like to thank everyone who contributed to their recent Church Gate Collection which yielded €335. The Tidy Towns Committee members were thrilled to have received 4th prize of €3,000o for their submission for improvements to the Old Graveyard, in the "Access For All" Competition for Community Gardens, Parks and Spaces, run by Wexford Co. Council.
The funding will be drawn down in stages, as the work is completed. It will be used to make the graveyard and old school more accessible, connecting the graveyard with the 1798 Chapel and creating a sensory garden to the memory of all gone before us.
It is hoped to set up a group to assist in gathering information for a history of Oulart-The Ballagh Camogie Club. If you have information, photographs, videos etc or if you would like to help in reviving old camogie memories please come to a meeting in the GAA Complex on Tuesday 27th October at 7.30pm.
Calling all quiz enthusiasts! Reserve Wednesday 4th November, for a Table Quiz, to be held in Oulart Community Centre, in aid of Oulart Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Party. A Table of Four will cost a mere €20 (€5 per person) and the event will begin at 8pm. All local organisations and individuals are invited to participate in the Table Quiz. Refreshments will be served.
Oulart Hill Development Group will hold its Annual General Meeting in The Bygone Days House of Stories on Monday 2nd November at 8pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend and become involved with this group of volunteers who are spear-heading the developments, such as the walking trails etc on Oulart Hill and in the surrounding areas. Bring a friend!
It's Good to Talk
Joan Kavanagh & Friends are holding a Hallowe'en Day, at her house in Lowlough on Saturday 31st October from 12 noon until 6pm.All are welcome to this fund-raiser in aid of "It's Good to Talk". Over The Water
Due to popular demand Bridge Drama group have added an extra night to their run of 'The Cripple of Inishmaan,' by Martin McDonagh in the Wexford's Arts Centre. The show will now run from October 28 to November 1 at 8 p.m.
'The Cripple of Inishmaan' is a hilarious comedy/drama which comes complete with suspense and a great deal of heart and is directed by Trish Doyle. Tickets are now on sale at wexfordartscentre.ie or by phoning 053- 9123764. Members of the Bridge Drama group would be delighted to see you there.
Screen hall updates

Braveheart runners are a group of six runners who are competing in the London Marathon to try to raise €13200 for The Irish Heart Foundation. The team of six are comprised of Anna Monahan, Mag Balfe, Jean Mernagh, Seamus Jordan, Chris Squance and Declan French.
One of their many fundraisers is a benefit night which will take place on Saturday, November 14 in Hotel Curracloe, commencing at 9 p.m and going on until late. Music will be supplied by The Gallivants and this will be followed by DJ Braveheart. There will be hot finger food served, a raffle, door prize, spot prizes and much more. The first 100 through the door will also receive a goodie bag. Entry on the night is €10 and all monies raised go straight to the charity.

Congratulations to the Shelmalier U16 girls and their management team on winning their county final versus Kilmore. It was a fantastic game of football that went right down to the final whistle. Well done to the seniors who took on the Dublin champions Foxrock/Cabinteely in the Leinster senior club championship and well done to the Division 2 adults side who played Clonard in the league semi-final on Monday.
The Christmas Fair in aid of the Tracie Lawlor Trust for Cystic Fibrosis will take place in Castlebridge hall on Sunday, November 22. Doors open at 12 noon and Santa arrives at 2 p.m. Admission to the fair is free but there is a small charge to visit Santa. All proceeds go to the Tracie Lawlor Trust for Cystic Fibrosis. Curracloe school news
Well done to the boys and girls from fifth and sixth classes and their team mates from Screen and Castlebridge schools who have been taking part in the Rackard League this term. There were a number of very exciting football matches throughout the league. Unfortunately the boys were knocked out in their quarter final match against St Aidans. The girls are through to the final having defeated Horeswood in the semi final. We wish them well in the final. Thanks to the parents for their support in getting the children to the matches.
Well done to Annie Mangan who recently won €189 in the 'Split the Pot' draw. The next draw will be held on Monday, November 2. The specially designed envelopes remain available in all local businesses and directly to parents/guardians in the school.
The Parents Association would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated clothes etc for the recent clothing collection. It was a great success.
There was great fun in the school on Friday of last week when the children dressed up in their pyjamas and Halloween outfits. Wishing all pupils and teachers a very enjoyable break and looking forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday, November 2.
There will be youth club in the Oylegate community centre on this Friday evening October 30th from 8.00 to 10.00pm. The supervisors for the evening are Con Hourihan, Liz Kinsella, Margaret Storey, Paul Maher, Corina Kinsella, and Cormac Downes.
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot held in Mernaghs Lounge, Oylegate on Wednesday October 14th. The next draw will be held in the Slaney Inn, Oylegate on Wednesday October 28th. Tickets cost just €2 each and are available from club members.

Oylegate Parent and Toddler Group meet every Wednesday in Oylegate National School, from 9.20am-11.00am, for children from birth to 5 years. There is no charge and parents/guardians supervise their own children. New members are most welcome.

Following the success of last year's Craft Fair last year, it is proposed to hold a Craft Fair once again this year on Sunday, November 29th from 11.30am- 3.00pm. in Oylegate Community Centre.
