Monitored Alarms

Personal/socially monitored alarms can save your life in the event of an accident, fall or any other emergency. They can be pressed in any situation when you need help or cannot get to a telephone. They then contact the company who first ring you to see it it was hit by mistake before contacting your selected contacts e.g. son/daughter or a neighbour. Socially monitored alarms are available to people over the age of 65, either living on their own or with someone of the same age bracket, through the Seniors Alert Scheme.

Grants are available for these systems meaning that you just have to pay an annual monitoring fee of E66. More information on these personal alarms can be found on the TASK website.

If you or anyone you know might be interested please contact your representative from Glenbrien Community Text Alert or any of the committee members, Pat (087)6904289, Diane (086)0897195 or Theresa (087)9714323 within the next few weeks.
