Women's Shed

The Women's Shed held their Christmas lunch in Tomhaggard social centre on Monday 7th December.

It was a very sociable occasion with all the ladies bringing salads, bread, desserts and the customary mulled wine. Guests of honour were Jim and Rose Hurley with Carmen from Raheen where the founding members attended Craft Classes also in attendance.

Meetings will resume after Christmasearly in January. We plan on attending the Wexford Panto in January, more details closer to the date.

We had 3 athletes competing at the national cross country championships recently. Conn Mernagh and Rob Stirling both were running the U11 race.

Conn finished in 114th whilst Rob finished in 123rd. Running a national championships is a an achievement in itself and we commend the young athletes on their very respectable placings!

Ger Maloney ran the novice nationals finishing 141st. The 055 masters athlete was competing with a mix of senior and younger master athletes so yet again a very respectable placing. Well done to all!
