The St Fintans GAA lotto now stands at €12,000 and tickets can be purchased from local shops and the club grounds on Tuesday evenings from 8pm and from club members at a cost of €1.50. There is also a match three prize of €300 up for grabs each week and Dave Howlin shared in this prize with the following numbers drawn last week 6,12,19,28. Many thanks for your continued support and a very Happy Christmas.
The Women's Shed held their Christmas lunch in Tomhaggard social centre on Monday 7th December. It was a very sociable occasion with all the ladies bringing salads, bread, desserts and the customer mulled wine.
Guests of honour were Jim and Rose Hurley with Carmen from Raheen where the founding members attended Craft Classes also in attendance. The shed met again on Monday December 14th and then broke for Christmas and will resume again on January 11th 2016. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas.
The Ballycogley Players are taking a break from rehearsals of next years three act play The Cripple Of Inishmaan by Martin Mc Donagh for the Christmas period and the group wishes all our loyal supporters and those we met on our travels a very Happy Christmas.
The St Fintans GAA clubs activities on the playing field are currently on a winter break and the club wishes all its players,mentors,committee members and most generous supporters a very Happy Christmas.
The Nativity with Live Crib will be preformed outside our Parish Church in Carrig on Bannow on Sunday 20th of December at 6p.m. All are welcome, please cover up well. There will be a cup of tea across the road in Colfers for everyone.
Split the Pot
This weeks "Split the Pot" took place in Tir na nOg. The ticket was drawn by Phil Bishop. The winner was Freya Waters from Tullycanna. She is our youngest winner at just 3 months old winning a massive €1003.
GAA club news
No Jackpot winner for the last lotto of 2015. Numbers were 3,21,22 and 24. Micheal Wallace shared match three number. Next lotto will be in 11,000 euro and will take place in Taghmon on Tuesday 12th January 2016.
Officers elected for 2016 season after the Agm on Sunday last were Chairman Pat Cullen, Vice Michael Wallace, Secretary Oliver Delvin, Ass Anne Carroll, Treasurer Pauline Fitzharris, pro Joeanne Roche. Intermediate /Junior and U21 Football Pip Murphy, Junior /Junior b/U21 Hurling Pat Fitzharris. Many thanks to everyone who helped in any way during the year and here's to another great year ahead.
Ladies football had a poor turnout for their AGM recently. Those elected were Chairperson Suzanne Scott, Secretary tbc, Treasurer John Reville, Pro Joeanne Roche. If any one would like to help out in any way no matter how small please contact Suzanne. More information on our facebook page.
A football /hurling double header will take place this St.Stephens Day for the Battle of the Parish. Bannow V Ballymitty (Theres only one winner here lads!) . Contact Padraig Doyle 087 2414220 for further information. Tir Na Nog are kindly supplying soup and sandwiches after the events. Starting time are 12 til 2. Anyone can participate and it is a fundraising event for Micheal (Mimi) Barry.

Grantstown Day Care
A BIG THANK YOU: to all of you that helped and supported us in any way what so ever with regard to our Sunday Tea Room. It was a great success and it was great to see so many of the local community support Grantstown.

New Years Eve Dance
New Years Eve Dance with music by El Paso will be held in Tir na nOg on Thursday 31st December and the Ballymitty Handball club wish all a happy Christmas and New Year and looking forward to your continued support in 2016.
Both Kilmore Active Retirement teams had very good wins in the County indoor bowls league on Wednesday 16th December in the Stella Maris Centre. The B team beat Ferns by twelve points to seven in a very close match, team was Josephine O'Shea, Claire and Dwight Moore and Agnes Behan. The A team had a comprehensive victory against Gorey running out winners by 25 points to 3, team was Toddy Moore, Noel Howlin, Mike Richards and Joe Barry.
The Kilmore A team now sit on top of the league by four points, with Oulart in second place. We now have a break and the league will resume in the week beginning the 11th January 2016. Happy Christmas to all our bowlers and members of Kilmore ARA.
scope office holidays
Kilmore SCOPE's information office in Bridgetown will close for the Christmas holidays at noon on Tuesday 22nd December and will reopen on Monday 4th January. We take this opportunity to thank everybody who supported our office by calling for information and the many other services provided in our office over the year, your support was greatly appreciated. May we wish one and all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and all the best for 2016.
A Cappella choir wish to extend a message of gratitude to everyone who contributed in making our event on Friday, in aid of our local branch of ST Vincent de Paul, such a great success.
We would like to say a big thank you to the artists who volunteered their time and talent: Adam Wickham, Kirsty Moran, Liam Bates, Laura Hyland, George and Michaela Maloney, Cillian Byrne [Basciville] and Donal Byrne (sound technician).
We are grateful too for the use of St Peters Church, Kilmore Quay as a beautiful venue. Thanks to all the business people and private donors, who donated prizes for the raffle and to those who bought tickets at Centra, (thank you to Diane for making this possible) and also, to all those that bought tickets on the night.
Thanks also to all who bought tickets and were unable to attend the event and to all who turned up to enjoy a great evening's entertainment. Your generous contribution amounts to €2,115 for which we are truly grateful.

St. Paul's AC
Well done to Ger Maloney who finished 16th in the senior county cross country championships recently. Conditions were tough on the day with plenty of mud covering the athletes as they crossed the line, but that didn't stop Ger putting in another fine performance!
This rounds off a great 2015 for the club with plenty of fine performances from all of our athletes, throughout the year from county to international level. The committee would like to wish all athletes and supporters a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to 2016 where no doubt St. Pauls will once again perform so well!
The Rosslare Harbour Maritime Heritage Centre will close for Christmas at 5pm on Sunday 13th December and reopen on Saturday 9th January 2016 from 2pm - 5pm.

On St. Stephen's Day we will have the annual Rosslare Horse Shoe Throwing Championships. Meet in Redmond's The Bay at 12noon-great fun for all involved, new competitors' always welcome.
Rosslare Youth Club
We will be back on Friday 8th January at 7pm. There will be a short AGM for parents and members at the beginning of the club to discuss our plans for the year to come.
The next active retirement meeting will take place on Monday, January 11th, 2016 at 2pm at the golf club. The members only Party will take place on Monday, January 18th, 2016 at 2.30pm for 3pm at Hotel Rosslare at Rosslare Harbour. Christmas Day Swim
The annual festive dip will take place at midday beside the lifeguards tower all monies raised will go to the daycare centre in Tagoat. The forecast is good so get your swim gear ready.
GAA club Notes
The last Club Lotto of the year was'nt won last Tuesday ,numbers were 3, 21, 22 and 24, there were two match 3s winners. Eithne Whelan, Loughnageer and Michael Wallace ,Tir Na Nog. The next Lotto draw will be on Tuesday 12th Jan in the GAA Center when the Jackpot will be €11,000. Provisional date for the County u21 football semi final is now the 9th Jan.
