Crossabeg/Ballymurn Ladies Gaelic Football Club are running an Operation Transformation over the next few months, but with a difference. Firstly you can follow the national campaign as per T.V and Facebook which focuses on weight, and join the country in trying to lose a combined 1,000,000 lbs, and we will monitor weight weekly, or along with an optional weigh-in, the emphasis will be on getting fitter with "Between the Bells".
Here's how it works: Bring the whole family down to the track at Crossabeg Community Centre. After a 10 minute warm up, a bell will be rung and you can walk/jog/run at your own pace around the track. After 30 minutes the bell will ring again and you will note from the nearest distance marker how many laps you have completed. Continue to the finish line and submit your distance to our team of "Bell Betweeners". We will track your progress over a 10-week period.
You will receive a chart with your individual progress outlined as well as a chart that tracks the entire community's progress. We are aiming to improve the community's collective fitness by 10% in 10 weeks.
The fit-fun starts at 6.30pm on Tuesday January 19th with registration and weigh-in and finishes on Easter Monday March 28th. A weekly €2 charge will apply. Crossabeg Ballymurn Ladies football club provides football for girls from Oylegate, Glenbrien, Crossabeg & Ballymurn parishes.

Grants are available for these systems meaning that you just have to pay an annual monitoring fee of €66. More information on these personal alarms can be found on the TASK website.
