Feast Of Saint Brigid Of The Kind: This will be celebrated in Clonard Church. An evening of song, poetry and prayer on Sunday January 31st at 7pm in Clonard Church. All are welcome.

Clonard Parish Radio: All Church services are broadcast on 92.9 FM. Please inform people who are sick or housebound so that they can join us over the airwaves. Masses: Saturday Vigil 6pm. Sunday's 9, 10, and 11.30am. Weekdays 10am and 7pm.

Bereavement Support

The People's College Spring Syllabus 2016 is commencing Monday 15th February at the SIPTU premises in Coolcotts. Enrolments are now being taken. Office hours 9am to 4.30pm Monday/Thursday. 9am to 1pm Fridays.

CAMOGIE

The very best of luck to Loreto Wexford Junior Camogie team in their Leinster Final on Saturday next in New Ross. Glynn Barntown camogie club will be proudly represented by Clodagh Jackman and Aisling Halligan.

Hard luck to Presentation School Wexford who were defeated in the Leinster Senior Camogie final last Saturday. The Pres were 1-1 to 0-3 up at half time but had a goal disallowed just after halftime which may have been a turning point. Presentation struggled to get scores though and St.Josephs Rochfordbridge pulled away with 2 late goals to win 2-10 to 1-3. Glynn Barntown players were Laura Dempsey (Captain, midfield 0- 3 from frees), Chloe Cashe (full back), Holly Hynes (wing forward), Emma Sweeney and Emma Dempsey (subs).

COISTE NA NÓG

The Jim Byrne cup scheduled for last Sunday was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. No refixture as of yet.

The Club would like to wish the very best to the Doran family as they embark on their adventure to their new life Down Under. A lovely gathering was held in the clubhouse on Saturday to wish Sarah , P.J. and our two young players Ben and Owen 'Bon Voyage'. The loss to our school, club and parish will be a huge gain to another in Australia. We wish them health, happiness and good fortune in their future.

TABLE QUIZ

The Table quiz due to take place on Friday 5th February has been rescheduled for Friday 12th February in the clubhouse at 8.30pm. Teams of 4 cost €20 per team.

SENIOR GAA

The Annual Last Man Standing tournament run by the Senior Hurling and Football players is about to kick off again. Based around the 2016 National Football League the tickets are €10 and available from all members of the above panels.

ARA Club

The club is now back in full swing and eager to see new members-everyone over 55 are more than welcome. we are hoping to start more activities but we need more people to join so make it all more interactive. Tuesday from 2.30-4.30. Bus available to collect you from your home around the Parish if you do not have transport.

Our AGM will be held on Tuesday 9th February at 2.30p, we are inviting non members as well as members to come along to this meeting and see what it is all about.

We will be planning day trips and outings for the remainder of the year. plans to invite speakers to the club to discuss various topics, walking events, picnics, demonstrations of flower arranging etc all in the plan for the coming months:

once a month lunches out in various places e.g. Rosslare Golf Club, Mary Barrys, Kellys Drinagh and lots more.

Dancing at Camross

The February dance will on Friday 5th in Camross Ballroom with music by Checkers. Dancing from 10pm to 12 midnight. Admission is €8 including The Tea. Come along and enjoy an great night on the dance floor.

GAA Notes

Our Minor footballers Munn Abbainn Gaels had a convincing win in the quarter final of the Jim Byrne Cup over the weekend beating Sarsfields 2-10 to 0-01. There is no fixture for the semi final yet.

Our u21s will play Ballygarret in the Co semi final , provisional fixture for next weekend.

Our Club Lotto will take place this Tuesday night in Granstown, when the Jackpot will be €11,300. Please have your tickets in the Center at 7.30pm.

Please support our development fundraising draw. Members will be calling around the parish and surrounding areas to sell tickets at €10 per ticket or 3 for €20, with over €8,000 in prizes and a chance to win a years subscription to our Lotto.

Coiste na nOg

Registration night for Coiste na nOg will take place this Friday night 29th January in the Clubhouse Bar at 6.30pm to 7:30pm for all age groups U8-U18. All new members welcome. Any parent wishing to register their child (6 years and over) for the 1st time please bring a copy of their birth certificate.

IMPORTANT: Due to Insurance Regulations all players have to pay this fee before they play. Family Membership is €80, Students/Child €30.

Ladies Football

Taghmon Camross ladies football club will hold a cabaret in Rochford's Pub Camross on Saturday 13th February at 9pm. This will be a get together of all past players, managers, coaches, mentors and members of the club. Freeway will play on the night and there will be an entry fee of €5, tickets are available from members of the ladies football team or on the door on the night. All support is greatly appreciated and all are welcome to attend.

Camogie

Taghmon Camross Camogie Club will hold their registration night on Friday 5th February from 7.45 to 8.45pm in the Taghmon/Camross GAA complex. This year we will be entering teams at u12, u16 and junior level. The cost of registration for anyone over 18 is €50 and those who are under 18 can avail of our reduced price of just €15. New members are welcome on the night.

The AGM of the society will be held on Thursday 4th February at 9pm in the Scout Hall in Taghmon. All members and prospective new members are welcome. New committee blood is always welcome! Also, the postponed December outing is fixed yet again for Saturday 13th February in Wexford G.C. with the our tee time at 10am for an hour.

ULSTER GRADE A OPEN: well done to Nicholas Murphy on winning the Men's Singles at this event.

CONNACHT OPEN U17: well done to CLODAGH DUNNE who won the girl's doubles at this event.

Paddy Nolan was in top form at the recent MUNSTER OPEN. In the U13 Boys Doubles Paddy/Christopher O Donoghue put on an excellent display of Badminton. It was the most exciting game of the day. Paddy/Chris gave it their all in a magnificent three setter and won gold 21-13,15-21,21-15. Well done to Paddy on his selection for the Leinster U13 Celtic Challenge Team. It is a great honour to be selected to represent your province in any sport. The Club is proud of you, you are following in the footsteps of our most talented players.

Well done to our 6th Division A SHIELD team Dan Rossiter, Patrick O'Regan, Paddy Nolan, Margaret O'Regan, Martina Kelly Cogley, Laoise Molloy, who won gold at this event. The Ladies/Gents League will be up and running shortly. Players stay in contact with Captains for updates re this event.
