Bereavement

The sympathy of the community is extended to the wife and family of the late Frank Roche, Ballybrega who passed to his eternal reward last week. He is mourned by his devoted wife Kathleen, sons John and Thomas, daughters Helena, Jacinta and Anne, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and a great-grandchild, brothers and sisters and their families, friends and neighbours. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Camogie

Although Oulart-The Ballagh senior camogie team failed in their bid to qualify for another All-Ireland Final when they lost by a single point to Milford in the semi-final in Carriganore, Waterford on 31st January they lost nothing but a match and retained the admiration and respect of all true sports people and supporters who have followed their progress down through the years.

However, it is worth highlighting some of their amazing achievements. Eleven Wexford senior titles, six Leinster Club championship titles, two All-Ireland Club titles, three All-Ireland Sevens, ten All-Star Awards as well as the input of the club's players in helping Wexford win four Senior All-Ireland titles and an All-Ireland Intermediate and providing the captains for all five All-Ireland victories.
