Old School Cards

Coffee Morning

The Community Coffee Morning will take place this Thursday, 25th February in the O.L.I. Community Hall from 10.30a.m. to 12 noon. Do come along to meet friends and neighbours for tea, coffee and chat-all free!

Split the Pot

This week's 'Split the Pot' draw was held in the Gift Shop on Sunday morning-the winner was Niall Ellard Senr., Airdownes winning €208. This project is a fundraiser for the Church Restoration fund-envelopes available in Londis and Post Office-put €2 in provided envelope write your name and 'phone number on envelope. Total takings divided: Parish receiving half, Winner receiving half. Please support. The church is used by all at different stages. We need your help.

G.A.A. Lotto

As there was no winner of last week's jackpot, Our Lady's Island G.A.A lotto now stands at €14,400 and tickets may be purchased from local shops and from club members at a cost of €1.50. There is also a match 3 prize up for grabs each week and Jack O'Leary (seller Suzanne Ellard) and Theresa Doyle (seller David Maloney) shared in this prize last week. Last week's numbers were 14, 15, 20 and 28. Thanks to all for your continued support

Club Membership

Our Lady's Island G.A.A. Club membership fees for 2016 are now due. Club membership rates for 2016 are €80 for players, €50 for students and €40 for non-players. Membership is to be paid to Club Secretary, Rosaleen Keegan by 31st March 2016. Anyone who wants to pay by direct debit contact Rosaleen Keegan for the relevant forms. Please note that only those who have paid membership by 31st March are entitled to vote at the A.G.M. or at any other significant club meeting that may take place during 2016.

GAA Club Pub Quiz

All roads lead to Butlers of Broadway this Friday, 26th February for O.L.I. G.A.A Club's fundraising pub quiz. Table of 4-€20. Start time is 9pm. There will be prizes on the night and a raffle will also be held. We look forward to seeing you there for our first fundraising event of 2016.

Camogie Club News

The St. Mary's Camogie Club meet & greet & registration morning is rescheduled for Sunday 13th March at 12 noon at the clubhouse in Tagoat. Hope to see all parents and players there.

In the meantime, Camogie training will recommence indoors in Tagoat from Saturday 27th February. The coaches will be in touch with parents regarding times for each team, before then.

Under 16 St. Marys girls will be amalgamated with u16 Kilmore girls under the name of 'Kilross Gaels' for 2016. Both clubs officials have met and the amalgamation has been approved at County Board. Training for under 16 Kilross Gaels will take place at the astro turf indoor facility, at Kilmore GAA Club for the first few weeks on Friday evenings from 7-8pm.

Finally St. Mary's Camogie Club wish to extend sincere sympathy to the Wickham family on the death of John Wickham, to Breda & Pat Rowe and family on the death of Mrs. Esther Rowe and to the Troy family of Tomhaggard on the death of their daughter Abbie Troy. May they rest in peace.

Ladies Night

St Marys Day Centre

Condolences: St Marys Day Centre would like to send their sincerest condolences to the friends and family of Bridie Browne. Bridie (or Mother Browne as she was better known to us) was a mainstay of the Centre for many years, a sharp card player and a keen pongo player, her humour and wit will be greatly missed.
