Congratulations to Kevin Cardiff, winner of last week's jackpot €6,000. The winning numbers were 6, 18, 25 and 29. Congratulations to the six match-three winners who each received €50. The match-three winners were Caroline Keane, Murt Sinnott, Ann McLoughlin, Caroline Kavanagh, Geraldine Meyler, Alan Corish. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, June 7, and the jackpot now stands at €3,000.
Sunny South East Strollers/Striders meet every Monday evening at 7 p.m., (except Bank Holidays and weather permitting. We would like to invite anyone who would like to get out for a stroll/walk, who may have very low fitness levels. We have starter strolls for the month of January where we can start off with 10/15 minutes, taking small rests if necessary.
The Strider Group will also meet at 7 p.m. and walk for 35 to 45 mins. We have a cup of tea or coffee and most importantly a chat afterwards. PT and Fitness Classes
Why not come and try one of our classes in Rathangan Hall. We have a Legs. Bums and Tums, morning class are every Monday morning and Monday evening class at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays we alternate between a Boxercise class and a circuit class. For more info. Contact Brian at 086 1551315.
Places are still available for your child to attend Cleariestown Community playgroup and avail of the free preschool year under the ECCE scheme, from September 2116. Once your child turns three you can avail of up to two years free childcare. Call in to see our facilities or see us on our new Facebook page.
Duncormick Area Action Group has once again entered this year's Tidy Town's Competition with judging from June-August. We are appealing to everyone to help us in obtaining better results this year and be proud of our village. We would also like to ask everyone to use the litter bins provided in the village.
Fastnet Rovers AFC
The Fastnet Rovers AGM is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10. All parents, coaches, players and interested parties are invited to attend. We would love to get more people involved to help our ongoing growth and development next year.
Forth Walking Group meets every Saturday Morning at 10 a.m. at lay by beside Regal Lodge. New members always welcome.
Rathangan Variety Group are holding a breakfast morning in aid of their February 2017 production in the Temple Bar, Rathangan, on Sunday, June 12, from 9.30 a.m. with last orders at 12.30 p.m. Why not come along and enjoy a full fry, tea or coffee/toast for €5. A couple of big weekends are coming up for scouts. There's monster fundraising on June 18/19 in aid of forthcoming trip to International scout jamboree in Birmingham. There will be tea on the lawn and a cake sale on Saturday 18th after mass with tea on the lawn; then there is a cake sale and car boot sale on Sunday 19th. There is also a cake sale on Saturday 18th after mass in Tomhaggard and Mulrankin on Sunday 19th. More details closer to event.
On following weekend June 24 to June 26 Kilmore scouts are hosting Wamboree Wexford which is a county camp for beavers, cubs, scouts, ventures, rovers and scouters. There's a full programme of activities with all funds raised going to the Syrian Refugee Crisis in association with Trocaire. Thanks to generous local sponsorship the majority of camp fees will go to the charity. It's the brainchild of two youth members Josh and Haley Power. We're hoping it will be well supported by Scout groups from around the county as it's such a worthwhile cause.
WoMen's Shed Reading Room open to public Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. if you want to borrow, swap or read books. New members welcome so if you want to meet up, learn new skills, or just chill out over a cuppa why not check it out.
WoMen's Shed have started planting and creating new flower beds at Centre with grass area at back also sowed so there'll be a nice social space for the community to enjoy shortly.

KRH Community Weekend
This year's Kilrane Rosslare Harbour Community Weekend will hold a couple of new departures for our programme. Due to the success of our Junior Talent Show which we ran during the winter, it has been decided to include this event in the Community Programme for 2016. This will take place on Saturday, July 23, from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. in Hotel Rosslare.
This is a chance for all children to sing, dance, recite a poem, act a drama, play an instrument, or do a gymnastic display, anything goes. Children have the opportunity to entertain and shine - o judges, just Certificates of Participation and a small prize for every participant. Lots of fun for all. Entry Fee £3 per child.
This will be followed by a fantastic Tug of War Competition with Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat Crew v Kilmore Quay Lifeboat Crew on Top of the Bank in Rosslare Harbour at 7.30 p.m. Fun for all the family.
As part of our Kilrane Rosslare Harbour Community Weekend 2016, we will be running the KRH 'Get Your Bake On' Competition which will be sponsored by Murphys SuperValu Rosslare Harbour. There will be seven Sections in the Competition as follows Best Cupcake, Best scone, Best Brown Bread, Best Apple/Rhubarb Pie, Best Victoria Sponge, Best Afternoon Tea Item and Best Sugar Paste Decorated Cake. There will also be a section for Best Jams and Preserves.
The Competition will be judged by top ICA judges and will be rewarded with valuable prizes, sponsored by SuperValu. There is a cost of £2 per entry and you must produce a receipt for ingredients that have been purchased in SuperValu. There is an Adult and Junior Section in all Categories. All entries will be displayed and judged on Sunday, July 24, in Railway Social club, Rosslare Harbour. So get your bake on and spread the word. More information from Bernie 087 7051733.
The annual general meeting of the Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane Community Alert Scheme was held in the Railway Social Club on Monday, May 16. The meeting was well attended by residents of the area and Ms Margaret Quinn Development Officer with Muintir na Tire and the Gardaí were represented by Garda Robbie Alyward and Garda John O'Flynn. Mr Aedan McFadden welcomed those in attendance and thanked them for their attendance.
A report on the activities for 2015/2016 was presented to the meeting. The major activity was the erection of 50 no. signs in the Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane area informing the public of the scheme. The meeting heard that it was proposed to proceed with the implementation of the Text Alert Service shortly. Garda Robbie Alyward explained to the meeting how the text alert service operates. It is also hoped to introduce a scheme for socially monitored alarms and to have a further meeting dealing with crime prevention later in the year.
The following committee were elected Chairman Aedan Mac Fadden, Secretary Maeve O'Brien, Treasurer Joan Walsh, PRO Trisha Boyce, Committee members Liz Gleeson, Eileen Morris, Claire Condron, Betty Corrigan, Betty Browne, Breda Byrne and Rosaleen Keane.
It is proposed that committee members will be in attendance on two days later in the month in SuperValu to facilitate people wishing to join the text alert scheme. Further information regarding these days nearer the time. In the meantime if anybody wants any further information please contact any committee member.

Cúl Camp 2016
Parents we have been advised that if you wish to send your child/children to Cúl Camp this year in Tagoat to please book online before the camps commence. The camps are being capped this year so book early to avoid disappointment. Week one in Tagoat is July 11 to July 15 and Week two in Tagoat is 15th-August 15 to August 19.
St Mary's Day Centre
GET WELL: St Mary's Day Centre would like to wish all our absent patrons a speedy recovery and we hope to see you back with us soon.
We have a few places available Monday, Wednesday and Friday for anyone interested in joining us for a bit of socialising and a lot of fun. We also do a meals on wheels service for only €6 for a three course meal freshly cooked and delivered to your door, call 053 9132624 for details.
