Senior men Division 4 result: All Backs AFC 1-Rosslare 3.

The newly promoted girls under-12 team began their division one league campaign with a great 5: three home victory over Curracloe United. A strong all round team performance ensured the All Blacks girls came away with maximum points. Curracloe took the lead with an early goal this was followed quickly with an equaliser by Cora Sinnott and All Blacks scored again from a Ciara Murphy strike. Curracloe levelled the game but a hatrick from Aoibheann Rankin saw the girls lead 5-2 at half time.

Curracloe came out very determined in the second half but strong defending by Aoife Codd and Aoife White and some superb saves from Aoife Devereux in goal kept our girls ahead. Abby Lambert was energetic in midfield throughout the game. Sophie Wallace, Annie Kelly and Ciara Casey all played important roles in their league debuts. Curracloe got another goal but All Blacks held out for the win. Well done, girls.

St Fintan's Underage

Our Minor footballers came up against a tough outfit in the Hollow Rovers amalgamation of Duffry Rovers and Marshalstown. The lads never gave up but the opposition just proved to be too strong on the day. The lads must now dust themselves off and knuckle down to preparations for their County Hurling Final (date yet to be confirmed).

St Fintan's Ladies

A massive well done to St Fintan's ladies under-16 girls who captured the Div three county title in Farmleigh. This was a tough encounter and a hard fought battle but the girls dug deep, never gave up and come out the victors by the narrowest of margins. A great bunch of girls who have done themselves, their families and club proud today and everyday. Well done Nicky, Enda, Ber and girls from everyone at the club. Naomh Fiontan Abu.
