All Blacks AFC

All Blacks AFC Division four Senior Men Wexford Football League result from last week: All Black's AFC three - Enniscorthy second 1. Good competitive game today, great contest from both sides. Sharp shooter Shane Sinnott scored two once again keeping his consistent form.

Mark Whelan sliced open the opposition from the right hand side scoring one, then the Blacks struck the upright on a number of occasions. Enniscorthy had strong centre field displays with great battles from our Padragh Rossiter and big John Walsh in his man of the match performance. Jason Pettit and Mark Byrne like two rutting stags knocked every ball away with vigor, strong in the air defensively.

Good substitution showed how vital the bench was, Mossy Power for John Codd. Jason Kehoe right back for John McGuire. Barry Buttimer substitute was unlucky not to add to the score sheet. Well done to everyone, keep up the winning ways.

Congratulations to this week's winner in our split-the-pot Draw No 40 at Greenacres Pub, Tomhaggard - Antoinette Furlong, Winning Prize €430. Next week's draw is in the Halfway House, Ballycogley. Great prize to be won. Many thanks for the hospitality on the night. Thank you to all our selling agents and our draw entrants in your continued support weekly.

The under-12 girls came out winners in a thrilling 5-4 victory over North End. Despite trailing 3-1 at half time, our girls showed spirit and determination to get the game back on track. Aoibheann Rankin hit the net three times and Ciara Murphy scored two goals. It was a true team effort that got the All Blacks the victory with brilliant performances all over the pitch.

Aoife Devereux was in top form in goal, Aoife Codd, Tara Cullen and Eve Rowe were solid in defence. Cora Sinnott, Ciara Murphy, Sophie Wallace and Abby Lambert worked skillfully and tirelessly in the middle of the pitch and Aoibheann Rankin and Kiera Casey played brilliantly upfront. Well done girls

Bereavement

Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the late Tommy Browne Coddstown Killinick. Tommy sadly died during the past week and was laid to rest following his funeral Mass in Tacumshane on Sunday last. May he rest in peace.

Rackard League

These two games will comprise a double header on this Thursday, October 20, in Kilmore GAA grounds. The girls take on near rivals Rosslare at 3.20 p.m. while the boys will play Gaelscoil Charman immediately afterwards at 4.30 p.m.

This is a huge event for the combined schools of Mayglass and Broadway so come along in the green and gold to cheer on our up and coming stars.

Birthday Greetings

For more information and application forms please call to the Kilmore SCOPE information centre in the AOH hall Bridgetown, Mon 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact numbers 053 9175523 or 085 8098981.

Juvenile Football

It wasn't to be for this troop of lads when they came up against a faster, stronger side in Kilrush in the juvenile football final on an evening when our lads probably didn't play the football we know they were capable of producing. Each game brings us high and lows and unfortunately this was one which ended on a low.

These lads have had an amazing season, they have worked hard since last March and given us some thrilling games over the last six months. Only a couple of weeks ago they won their hurling shield final in a humdinger of a game. They can be very proud of the season past and look forward to 2017 with great enthusiasm.
