The weekly '30' card game continues in the Community Centre this Friday, November 25, October at 9 p.m. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Proceeds going to Parish Funds. Catering on Friday, November 25, will be Ann McDonald, Sinéad O'Gorman and Una McDonald; on Friday, December 2, will be Ellen Furlong, Bridget Colfer and Margaret Furlong; on Friday, December 9, will be Bernie Hickey, Evelyn O'Gorman and Ann O'Gorman; on Friday, December 16, will be: Bridget O'Gorman, Ann Stafford, Kay Whelan and Agnes Whelan.

The winning numbers in the Adamstown lottery on Friday, November 11, were 10, 16, 20 and 30. There was no jackpot winner, the following two players matched three numbers and each got €100, B Walsh, Templeshelin and Bernie McCaul, Templenacrow. The next draw takes place this Friday, November 25, in the Community Centre for a jackpot of €13,000. When jackpot is won the next jackpot will start at €4,200. Do buy a ticket, it could be you.

GAA club agm
The annual general meeting of the local St Abban's Adamstown GAA Club will take place in Raheen Community Centre at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 27. Nominations for all positions must be with the club secretary by Saturday, November 19, all motions must also be with the secretary by that date.
The board of management of Adamstown NS wish to inform you of the appointment of Ms Caroline Delaney as the new principal of Adamstown NS.
As you may know Mr Nicholas Flynn, took sick leave last year due to illness, and we wish to thank him for his year's as Principal and the professionalism and dedication shown to both staff, pupils and parents. We wish him all the best in his retirement, he will be missed by all at Adamstown N.S.
We thank most sincerely Mrs Jennifer Carroll who took up the position of Acting Principal over the past year and with such dedication and co-operation with staff, pupils and their families. We extend our good wishes to Ms Delaney and wish her all the best in her new position.

The monthly meeting of Adamstown ICA was held in the Community Centre on Wednesday, November 9. Cllr Michael Sheehan was our guest speaker. He spoke on pensions which was very interesting, Senior Citizens take note of date for the party in Horse and Hound Sunday, December 11, at 6 p.m., invitations will be sent out later.
The ICA are up and running now for 15 years on the November 7 mass was celebrated by Fr Nolan on the evening. Thanks Fr Nolan all ICA members attended. Tea was served in the Community Centre after mass a lovely social evening.
The annual walk was a great success - thanks to everyone who supported us and sponsored the walk. Our meeting finished with a cup of tea served by Frances and Ann.
Our condolences to Dr Bart Curtis and family, St Aidan's Waterloo Road Wexford on the death of his sister Rita Curtis, who died in Knockeen Nursing Home on November 8. Rita was born in Adamstown, to David and Emma Curtis. The family moved to Carrigbyrne in 1934, Rita attended Adamstown national school, the Holy Faith secondary school New Ross and Carysfort Teacher Training College. Rita taught in Davidstown, Adamstown, Carroreigh National School, Treaceystown, where she was principal before she became principal in St Fintan's National school in Taghmon in 1962. Rita left Carrigbyrne when her mother died and joined Bart and Pat family in St Aidan's Wexford.
To her extended family relation and friends our sympathy also. Her funeral Mass took place in the Church of Immaculate Conception Wexford on Friday, November 11, with burial afterwards in Courthoyle cemetery. May she rest in peace.
St Abban's Adamstown GAA Club are holding a firewood auction in Adamstown on Sunday, November 27, at 11 a.m. Trailer loads, large and small bags of wood are available. This will be a great opportunity for you to purchase your winter firewood.
New altar servers will commence their altar service during the coming week. Fr Robert Nolan would like to thank the outgoing servers and their parents for their commitment over the past few years. He would like to thank Cait also.
Fr Nolan would ask parents of new servers to ensure that they come regularly and if they cannot come on their allotted mass time that they would arrange with other servers to substitute for them.
On behalf of all our parishioners he would like to thank you and wish every success to our outgoing servers at secondary school level.

Quay Notes a capella choir will be performing a concert at St Peter's Church, Kilmore Quay on Saturday, December 3, at 7.30 p.m. in aid of Wexford Marine Watch. Also appearing on the night will be Laura Hyland, Tom and friends, Cáit Ní Mhártain and George Maloney, plus more. Tickets at €5 each are available from Stella Maris centre and PO.

It's that time again when we start our round of Christmas Lunches. Ours is in the Danby Lodge on the Rosslare Road on Wednesday, November 21, at 1 p.m. Those who wish to attend inform a member of the committee.
On the Bowls scene it is as follows; Kilmore Seals versus New Ross on the week starting the 21st, time and venue to be agreed. Wednesday the 30th the Seals will take on the Ballagh in the SMC at 2 p.m.
The AGM will take place in the Kilmore GAA rooms on Thursday, December 1, at 7.30 p.m., a good attendance is expected. Ten Pin Bowling on Mondays at 10.30 a.m. in the Leisuremax.
A Christmas Fair takes place in Kilmore School on Sunday next, November 27, from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. A huge selection of products on offer from 30 stands, handcrafted products, christmas plants, wreaths, candles, decorations, bakery, food and hampers, photography, hand knits, sweets and lots more. Kilmore Quay RNLI will have their christmas card selection and calenders on sale. Refreshments available all day. Face painting and Popcorn for the kids.

Kilmore ladies Football club will hold their AGM on Friday 2nd December at 8pm in the GAA meeting room. We invite all players and parents to attend. We would love to see new people to get involved in our club all help would be appreciated.
Camogie Club news
Kilmore Camogie Club will their presentation night for our Junior C's next Friday night in Quigleys at 9pm. We would like to invite past and presant players, parents of our underage, supporters and anyone that has helped us in our success to date. Medals will be presented by Kate Kelly at 9pm and music by Point Blank. It promises to be a great night.
Senior Citizens Party
The Kilmore Quay ICA's Senior Citizens Christmas Party is being held on 27th November 2016 in the Danby Lodge Hotel. Anybody who is eligible and would like to come to the party please contact an I.C.A member. Doors open at 3:00pm Dinner at 3:30pm.
Congratulations to Miss Leonara Roche, Neamstown, Kilmore Quay who celebrated her 40th birthday last week. Leonara celebrated this with her family.
Congratulations also to Chris Fortune, better known as Captain, who celebrates his 40th birthday. A surprise party was held in Quigleys to celebrate this special occasion. On the previous weekend his brothers and of course Tommy Wall travelled to Cheltenham for a days racing. The real surprise for Captain was when he received a special present from all his family was a helicopter trip to Punchestown next Easter. Here's hoping you enjoy this special treat.
Congratulations to Miss Gail Reville, Ballyteigue, Kilmore Quay and her new husband Fergal who got married last Saturday. Gail is daughter of Peg and Mick. We wish this couple many happy years of married life to gether.

The quiz night in Jordans of Murrintown in aid of the Piercestown/Murrintown Senior Citizens Christmas Party was held last Saturday night. We would like to thank the following for their kind support and help: Michael Hanrahan, Brian Hogan, Jackie and David Dempsey, Andy and Jennie Firman, Ken Jordan, Breda Murphy, Ann Dempsey and especially John Price for organising the night. Dancing at Camross
Liam Mannering will provide music for our December dance in Camross Ballroom on Friday, December 2. Liam has become a firm favourite of a large number of our dance enthusiasts and he ensures us that the dance floor is always full and sends everyone home happy. Social dance classes with Vilma will be held in Camross Ballroom on next Thursday night, starting at 8.45 p.m. Classes costs just €5. Wear flat comfortable shoes.
well done Darren
Well done to Darren Hayes (Lau Gar) who competed in the WKC world championships which took place in Dublin recently. Darren had some tough fights and he went on to take home the bronze medal in the boys 13-15 years point fighters category.

Hard luck to our under-21 footballers this weekend who were beaten by Gusserane in the championship on a scoreline of 3-07 to 2-05.
There were no winners of the lotto jackpot last week, there were four match-three winners: Nobby Maher, c/o Sulzer Pumps, Molly and Jake, c/o Pat Redican, Tony Hayes, Camross and Jamie O'Hanlon, Taghmon. The next jackpot will be €6,500 and draw will be on Tuesday, November 29.
