Musical Theatre Class
Names are now being taken for a new children's Musical Theatre Class in Raheen Hall. This class will cover all aspects of stage, including drama, movement/dance and signing as well as lots of games and improvisation fun. Subject to interest, it will take place on Thursday evenings. Indoor training resumes on January 12 at 7 p.m. for five to eight and from 7.45 p.m. for all others.
WHO'S GOT TALENT
Heat 1 is on this Friday, January 6, and Heat 2 is on Saturday, January 7, in Bree Hall at 8 p.m. each evening. The Grand Final is on Saturday, January 21. A special fundraising Charity Night in aid of the SERT. Bus Service (South East Radiotherapy Trust Bus) has been organised for Friday, January 13, in the Ferrycarrig Hotel commencing at 8 p.m. Acts on the night include Celtic Roots, Borderline, Michelle Delmar, Castlebridge Gospel Choir, Stephen Murphy and DJ Eoin Healy.
Tickets cost €10 per person with spot prizes on the night also. A photobooth will be run by @gueststarsireland. Tickets are available from Bree Post Office or check out the SERT Charity Night Facebook page for more information. All support for this very worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.
The SERT service is a transport service run on a voluntary basis for patients who need transport to and from radiotherapy treatment services in Waterford Regional Hospital. Many people from Wexford and indeed our own locality rely on this voluntary service to get to their treatment appointments so any support would be greatly appreciated.

Clonard Thrift Fund starts back on Friday, January 6, from 7 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. in the Community Centre. New Members welcome. If you have already left in your list, your books will be available for collection on Wednesday, January 4, between 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the bottom office.
The camogie club will host a disco for first years and over in the clubhouse on Thursday, January 5, from 8.30.11 p.m. Admission is by ticket only. Glynn-Barntown camogie club sends huge congratulations to club camogie coach Ciarán Walsh and his lovely wife Eleanor on the timely arrival of their baby boy on Christmas Day.

The quest to find the next Mayor of Barntown is well and truly ready to go, even though it's launch date is on January 6. The Candidates who will undergo various tasks to gain valuable votes are, Martina Brazzill, Billy Codd, Tom Dempsey, Mag Gurhy, Donie O'Dowd and Declan Power.
Please support your favourite on what will be a fun filled event for everybody that will be run over 12 weeks culminating in one candidate becoming the New Mayor of Barntown on March 26.

The next date for social dancing in Oylegate Community Centre is Sunday night January 8, 2017. Music for the evening is by Pat Daly. Pat has played on previous occasions in Oylegate and is very popular with dancers so a large crowd is expected to get the new years dancing dates off to a great start. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. Admission €8. Come along for a lovely night of music, and dancing.
GAA Club Penny Bank
Many thanks to all who saved with the club penny bank for 2016 and huge thanks to all the collectors, without your help this great facility would not be possible. The 2017 penny bank will resume on January 6 and new members are always welcome. contact any committee member if you wish to join.

Crossabeg-Ballymurn Ladies Gaelic Football Club presents Operation Transformation and Between the Bells 2017, a community fitness activity for all the family - let's get fitter together.
Crossabeg Ballymurn Ladies Gaelic Football Club organised a fundraiser to get the community active in 2016. It was a great success and we will be running the same format in January 2017.
The fit-fun starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, and finishes on Tuesday, February 21. The final get together will take place on Tuesday, February 28. More information can be found on the Crossabeg-Ballymurn Ladies Gaelic Football Facebook page.
GAA Club dinner dance
Reserve Saturday, January 21, to celebrate with the club at our dinner dance in the Ferrycarrig hotel.
Medals will be presented on the night to our winning county intermediate and minor teams and our under-21 district winners. Music will be provided by American Heart, tickets €25 available from any committee member, we look forward to seeing you there.
Reprint of book
In 2008 our book 'Oylegate-Glenbrien, A Look Back in Time' was published and it sold out in three weeks. Since then, many people have asked about getting a copy. The Oylegate-Glenbrien Journal Committee is now considering ordering a reprint, possibly in soft cover.
At present we would like to gauge the level of interest in purchasing the book. If you would like to buy a copy please contact email email@example.com or call or Text: Tom Miller at 086 8677334 giving your contact details. The Journal Committee will then get back to you in due course.
The book, in soft back, will cost approx. €20 per copy, and a non-refundable deposit of €10 would be needed to place an order, if we go ahead with the venture. The closing date for ordering your copy will be January 15, 2017.

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €3.000 the winning numbers were 10, 12, 27 and 30.

Sunnydays Afterschool Rathangan Homework Club service is provided for the kids who attend between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Kids who attend from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. remain in our afterschool room in the school.
Children who attend from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. are cared for in Rathangan Hall. We have a designated homework room were the children can concentrate without distraction.
We offer assistance and guidance to allow them to complete their homework at their own pace. When homework is complete we provide a range of fun and activities.
Senior Citizens Party
All Senior Citizens are cordially invited to the annual Christmas party which will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2017, with mass in Cleariestown Church followed by traditional Christmas dinner and entertainment in the Community Centre. More details to follow later.
St Anne's NS
Applications for enrolment for St Anne's NS are now being accepted for September 2017. Enrolment forms are available from the school office-call in or ring Jenny at 051 563167 or from the school website stannesns.weebly.com.
Parishioners will be observing the long awaited construction of our seven new Elder Homes on the grounds of the old parochial house. To be known as McCall's Cottages, they will continue the parish connection to the patriot poet, PJ McCall. They are scheduled for completion after Easter 2017.
Anyone contemplating a home in McCall's Cottages for themselves or a loved one, should seek to get their name onto Wexford County Council, housing list as soon as possible. Enquiries can be made through any member of the Housing Association or parish council.
A meeting will be held in Rathangan Hall at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 to discuss issues relating to Ambrosetown Graveyard. All those with an interest in the cemetery are welcome to attend.
We extend sincere sympathy to Eileen Colfer & family Seefield on the sad passing of her father Gerry Guiney, Rockchapel, Co. Cork who died recently.
Also to Liam Moore and family Rath and Siobhan Pullen Duncormick on the sad passing of their mother Anne Moore, Coalspit, Ballycogly on St Stephen's Day. May they both rest in peace.

Our first meeting of 2017 will be on Monday, January 9, at 8 p.m. in Camross Hall. The monthly competition is the 'Cutest Christmas Card'.
